Chad Ochocinco Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster If Fined For Hit

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

Ochocinco is going to get hit quite a bit this season because the Pats run a lot of those style of routes and just underneath routes in general, but in the big scheme of things the pain is worth that opportunity to raise the Lombardi Trophy. Ochocinco plays in two leagues and has two sides. He plays in the NFL-National Football League and the NAFL- Need Attention Football League and once in awhile Ochocinco needs attention, that is just who he is.

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

Would be cool, for sure, and a bunch of people did tweet him about Patsfans a couple of weeks back. But this being the internet and all, the odds are still pretty remote, IMO.

I do know for a fact that this is the username he has used to log in to online video games...i really wouldnt be surprised.

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

If you were to check out "D-Mac"s twitter you would see that our first round glory boy is.actually as frequent if not more frequent of a "twitterer" as Ocho. And if i were to say that any players posts/accounts were immature it would actually be edelmans, but in a young and innocent late teenager kind of way. Not all people who express themselves are flambouyant, not all people who dont shy away from attention are idiotic. many people dont like him, maybe yourself included, because they have some false image of the guy that has as much to with a distaste for youth and their lack of humility than with anything else. Its almost as if a lot of people hate on the guy less for who he is than what he represents.

You all have a right to hate the guy, but when you get into the reasons why i think theres a lot more to it than whats being said. But hey, lets talk about football:D

I don't hate Ocho...I just am not a fan of the off field exploits

He was an all pro receiver in his prime and will certainly be in the Bengals Hall Of Fame, like I said earlier since he is wearing our uniform now so I must root and support his play and hope he can add something to the teams quest for a title.

I don't root for any particular player but for the team as most of us do so you have to wish all parts of the puzzle fit well together.

I felt the same way about Moss albeit in a different light.

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

That's fine, that's why this is a message board

I think if everyone were always on the same page and thought the same way and felt the same towards each other,it would be a damn boring website.

Sort of like watching a hockey game...without a fight ever happening, where would the fan base be?
My position is that I don't agree with your initial position, but at least you've had the monty's to keep your opinion consistent from start to finish.

I don't have a problem with ocho doing what he's doing because he's a businessman and professional. He's carving himself out wonderful post football opportunities. Anyone who can't see his active media role for what it is probably needs to re-examine business 101.

As long as ocho has elite preparation, performs on the field and lives his life to a good standard (which all signs point too) then it'll never be a problem for mine.

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

Anybody else getting the distinct impression that "85Ocho85" IS Brother Chad, HIMSELF???

I hope it is................. and if it is?

Welcome to the Patriots Chad............... most fans with a clue are greatful to get a guy with your talent here. Because most fans with a clue understand just what happens when talented receivers team up with TFB.

It's gonna be a great year..............

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

This 'tweet' is innocuous -- I just don't see how it can be interpreted otherwise. In some ways it's a stand up statement by '85' to congratulate the guy who rang his bell for playing good, hard football. While I understand the sentiment 'hard to root for <player x>' (TO comes to mind), I just don't see it based on this incident. Further, as I noticed and others pointed out, 85 played it professional after his touchdown (count me in the minority of those who will have a hard time rooting for 85 if he wants to start those antics).

General player 'yapping' is a slippery slope for the Patriots. I'm sure a lot of people thought WW's "feet" PC in last year's playoff game was great/no big deal. I'm sure many would be thrilled with elaborate celebrations after a score. However, that isn't the BB way and his way has proven extremely successful. While there have been many elements to the patriots/BB success, one of them has been an extremely high level of professionalism along side a lack of on (and largely off) field player foolishness. "When you win say nothing, when you say lose say even less" typifies the BB era. It typifies that high level of professionalism and that singular focus of winning (backed up by comments from x players). BB has got to have a short leash for this stuff -- when does too many tweets becomes too many? When does the content of tweets pull against the tide of the BB/Patriot way? -- or that part of the BB way will be over. And I think that part of the BB way is needed now more than ever considering some of the players we have this year (these players may play some of their best football when the nonsense isn't part of their routine).

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

to be fair to chad, aside from taking a swing at his ex HC, and being an attention whore

he's kept a clean lifestyle off the field

dude cries alot though....

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

Brother Chad is ALL HEART!! SCREW the Haters!! :rocker:

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

Edelman11(Julian Edelman)
Ok I've never seen any of the #Harrypotters , think I'm going to start the first one tonight.

OH NO, EDELMAN IS DISTRACTED!!!!!

I follow him on Facebook, told him he needs to read the books first.:D

I like his posts, most of them are about what movie he saw or what he thinks about a sporting event on TV or something innocuous and fun to comment on. I just really don't see the issue with this type of social media at all. In fact, I think it's sort of cool.

I think it's awesome to have this kind of direct connection to players. It humanizes them and eliminates some of the media and team filtering.

I was so happy when I had a thank you from Leigh Bodden for saying happy birthday :D

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

Be smart asses all you want...Ocho is by far the most flamboyant of any Patriot
using Twitter...

If you want to act ******ed like you dont get my point then do so...I probably couldn't tell the difference anyway with some in here.

No seriously - what is your point? That posting on the internet represents a personality flaw?

Would you prefer he was getting lap dances from the coke and meth crowd at the Foxy Lady?

I see nothing wrong with his tweets, I know he drives a Prius, can't find his way around the city and is addicted to Starbucks. Loves to banter back and forth with other players. Also his tweet about the hit, nothing wrong with that, maybe he truly thinks the rules weaken the game or he doesn't want other players to think he's a wimp. Who cares !

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

Chad is still an idiot, twitterholic and a prima donna

Even in a Pats uniform....A leopard never changes his spots.

I really find it hard to root for him, but I have to for the sake of the team.
It won't impact what happens on the field if you don't root for 85

Gronk tweets:

And that's just a small sample from the last 6 days he was active on twitter. At least Ocho spells correctly, uses correct grammar, sounds intelligent, and is funny.

Because he used twitter to tell the guy who hit him "Clean Hit."? Gee, did you already have your mind made up or what?:D

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

Wow. A lot of angst in Pats land over a pretty inconsequential tweet.

I always thought that Ochocinco was a pretty entertaining and generally well-meaning guy who happens to take his career as an entertainer seriously.

There is nothing wrong with making a name for yourself.

Re: Chad O C Offers To Reimburse Mason Foster

I think there was only a little angst about the tweet, but then a buttload of angst about that angst.
