Report: Pats to bring in TJ Houshmandzadeh for workout

Is it possible that Price's leg injury is not all that bad but they will stash him on PUP anyway?

I expect this is "due diligence" as well. If the jets were to sign this guy to their WR poor offense I'm sure we want some recent notes on him. But I do love to have my outlandish theories to play with too! :singing:

This is the time to do it. :)

Pre-season is for the fans too, as we work out our emotions, hopes & dreams, get a look at what's shaping up, comparing roster notes to our projections.

It's like the month before Christmas as you start to put up the decorations, bring in the tree, and start to trim it, sweet smells coming from the kitchen. All leading up to that one big day!

Yeah... I'm jonesing for some football. :rocker:

Per PFT.

Report: Houshmandzadeh working out in New England tomorrow | ProFootballTalk

WTH is this all about now?? We've already been going back and forth way too much in regards to which WR we see being cut as it is..

I was surpsrised that no one had started a thread already on the matter.

Before this news, I thought there may be a better chance than most thought that we actually kept all of the WR's (considering that Slater is a ST only player). If we actually signed Who's your mama, I wouldn't even know what to think in regards to the position.

I'm wondering if one of Price/Edelman isn't hurt a little more than we know of right now (pure speculation), although I hope I'm way off.

(Sorry--apologies Mods, as there was a prior thread that must have been pretty far down, and just got bumped up now. Please delete or merge. My bad, it seemed weird that no one had brought it up)

No problem!

Oh my gawd, you are killing me!

Odd that out of all the possible choices, Adam Seward changed his name to TJ Houshmandzadeh.

Hope he sticks around this time.

TJ had 900 yards receiving two years ago.I dont know what happened last year.

The way I see this is it is more than likely just a "due diligence" scout by workout affair. Patriots (and most teams) due this all the time. No big deal.

However, IF Price is seriously hurt, and that's a big IF, then it's also likely that he could start the season and the PUP list and be available later on. I can't see Price's injury being serious enough to land him on IR or it would have probably been announced already.

For the last time, YOU CANNOT BE PUPPED ONCE YOU PRACTICE...:ugh:

If he gets signed, then its out with Tate.

Teams bring in guys to take a look all the time--due diligence, so you know what you have before the need for a guy arises. How does a trivial workout warrant a ten page thread and all this handwringing about "what it means?" Jeez.

Yeah, we all saw that when he busted 29 tackles at once in the Baltimore playoff game in Jan. of '09.

The guy's weak I tell you...no heart or ability to play through pain

How many games has he missed due to injury so far, out of curiosity?

Didn't Julian let a little thing like a broken arm keep him off the field for a few games 2 years ago?

;)

:D

Total lack of perspective. Reiss offers some solid perspective.

New England Patriots working to keep receiver options open - ESPN Boston

Too many fantasy types here these days and they act like observing how the real thing always unfolds is akin to watching their first rodeo.

Hey wait a minute here! Price took a cheap shot to the head, got back up and continued to play in the game. Perhaps he does have a concussion ... but that no way indicates he is made of glass.

I am just hoping its not severe!

Can the NFL fine players in pre-season, because both the hits on Christian Cox and Price were cheap shots.

Price did continue to play and on a punt, or kick-off, return was hit low and got up slow. It looked like the hit scraped from his knees and down is shins, possibly with a face-mask. The second I saw it said "that'll hurt for a while." Hope I'm right and that it isn't the knee.

Lol. But I heard him say that he was really good lol

And the entire NFLN staff burst out laughing after that too. I think he said that he considered himself to be among the elite QBs in this league.

I'll never forget the way Jamie Dukes was ripping him apart lol

I can only dream of this being the last time this is reiterated. But realistically I'm expecting it will have to be said again tomorrow. :bricks:

What is with the overreaction here? We don't know if someone is hurt for the year or if someone is getting cut. What we do know is that we have the same o-line that can't block in the playoffs, if that is the case we should upgrade the WRs AT LEAST, not have to pretend that Ocho, old Branch, a little Welker, and a bunch of young guys who Brady doesn't trust is going to be aggressive when Brady has little time to throw.

I could see if we signed a huge guard/tackle but we didn't, we just got back Mankins who was here in the playoff losing streak. No need to consider this WR group to be perfect, we saw Price make plays last preseason as well, it means nothing.
