I'm not sure why people give such weight to someone leaving. Ignore them and let them leave without so much as a word to show their insignificance.
The fact that people are getting so upset about either is pretty funny.
This team has been outstanding over the last half dozen years and they're in the thick of things again. Consider that this franchise had trouble winning any games in the past and I remember fans leaving Foxborough at the half. I remember being given tickets to the games and still didn't take them.
So what if we don't win it all? All of this hoopla about "we're only about championships" is horsesh!t to anyone who's been around this team for the long haul. If you stop enjoying it, don't watch.
There are 32 NFL teams and there have been 40 Super Bowls played. San Fran has 5 wins, Pitt has 5 Wins, Dallas has 5 wins and the Pats, Raiders, Packers, and Skins all have 3 rings. Those 7 teams make up over 2/3ds of the Super Bowl rings won. This team has come a long way from the laughingstock of the league to being mentioned with those teams.
Frankly, it's funny watching people getting upset about people getting upset and then watching those people getting upset about people getting upset about people getting upset.
I don't think they've got it to go all the way this year but I'm hoping they give us a good show. In the end, if they don't win it, I'm not going to trash a team that gave me some of the best football memories as a spectator. I figure they're going to knock someone off before they go down and as usual, they're going to put their bodies on the line to do it.
I'm all for getting critical but let's not kid ourselves, these guys are your team or they aren't.
The Chargers are looking good if people are looking for a new flavor. The Pats are dangerous and competitive. If they do happen to pull it off, it will be another Patriot miracle but they are a good team and (so far) they haven't shown to be the best team. They've got some warriors though and they're dangerous.
