Wow...this could hurt our chances of running the ball effectively.

Faulk and Pass will have big games. Both are fresh and haven't had much opportunity to show their stuff this year.

We'll be fine on O. It's the D I worry about.

they couldn't run the ball the first time against miami, i figure it will probably be the same.

they should employ a similar strategy as the end of the detroit game at times with the 3 wr set and kevin faulk catching some underneath passes. they should send gabriel or watson on deep go routes to stretch the field.

I wish all teams gave an accurate injury report, that way I could win more bets. BB messing with the injury report really drives the sports book nuts.

If I knew Tom Brady was hurt or Payton Manning for that matter, I'd know where to put my money. But I'm guessing most Head Coaches don't really care about my betting habits

Whiners, baloney..... People have a right to know what the hell is up with this injury report.
That's an interesting perspective but I don't see why we have that right. We have a right to expect the players, coaches and front office to give 100%effort for their weekly paycheck and that's about it AFAIC.

I'm actually pretty amazed they keep it hush hush with all the media outlets and the amount of people they employ outside of the team. They do a better job of keeping info top secret than the government. Belichick would be an asset to the gov't on how to keep a secret.

Rarely do you see a plaer go from "questionable" to "out". Usually it is from "doubtful" to "out"

I think a lot of us in this forum are getting a little tired of BB's games with the injury report.
Have you missed a lot of injury reports this past few years??

We don't know how Maroney's doing right now, but I'm guessing that Belichick would rather avoid a Pyrrhic victory at this point, like the one he almost got on Vrabel's second INT.

What the hell is going on with this team and it's physical conditioning, or is it BB holding players out for punishment?

Yep. ALL the injuries are because of poor physical conditioning..

NEM, you are so far off base its ridiculous.

But, that is the norm for you.

the main point is What is the point of the crap injury report and the hidden facts?

Since you haven't figured it out, let me shed some light on it.

Its about preparation. If Belichick has the Dolphins believeing Maroney is going to play, they have to waste time scheming for him to be in there. By spending time scheming plays designed to stop Maroney, they have less time to spend scheming for Dillon and Faulk.

Its called strategy and tactics. Something that BB has proven he is amongst the best at. Sorry you don't approve. But, I am sure that BB doesn't care whether you approve or not.

This is just more garbage from you NEM. There are players every week that go from Questionable to OUT.

Whiners, baloney..... People have a right to know what the hell is up with this injury report. We pay the freight, without us there would be no Patriots, no Maroney, and no Belichick, and certainly no NFL.

People wanting an honest injury report is not whining. People have an opinion, and that is ok as far as I am concerned.

1) No, you don't have the right to know what is up with the injury report.
2) If you don't like it, stop watching the games.
3) You actually have very little to do with the salaries.
4) There are hundred of thousands of fans who can replace you, NEM.
5) Yes, it is whining when you damn well know that BB doesn't have to give you ANYTHING. Yes, you can have an opinion, but its still whining.

I think it's just as likely that Bill's horoscope said "avoid questionable outcomes".

In other words, your suggestion makes no sense. At all.

i don't see what all the fuss are about. It's all part of a strategy, and seriously, there's no reason to whine about it because frankly, you can't change it. Save your breath and do something constructive:p

Well with Faulk and Pass carrying the ball so much I guess we should expect at least a couple of fumbles this sunday.

So can we do it through the air? I'm waiting for Gabriel to finish doing his invisible act and actually show up. Or maybe it will be Jabar Gaffney that steps it up?

I think BBs injury reports have less to do with trying to influence the other team's preparations and more to do with avoiding all the media inquiry and speculation into what injuries there are and how serious they are. Did you remember TOs hamstring during training camp? Would you have liked a circus like that around Chad Jackson's hamstring? Now, of course, TO is a national story whereas CJ is only of local interest, but you get the idea. The policy on injuries is to allow the team to focus on football, not on injuries or questions from the media or fans.

Personally, I think BB gets it exactly right. I appreciate not knowing what's going on - and believe it's much better than a media feeding frenzy which happens in many other cities. Besides which, I could have predicted that LM would be out this week. When they are questionable and were hurt (as LM clearly was), they almost never are back the first week on the injury report. BB is conservative when it comes to players returning to the lineup. He'd rather hold them out a week too long than put them in a week too soon.

This is actually why the NFL has an injury report - for the bookies.

I believe BB thinks the injury report is a bad thing and does his best
to make his injury report irrelevant.
BB prepares for all 53 players. ( except maybe the outs )
He expects all other teams to do the same.
There are some nasty guys playing football. If they know you got a
weak part of your body they will hit you there.
I bet BB thinks the injury report is like painting a target on players with
injuries should they play.

Don't forget the fact that some part of Maroney body is a little more susceptible to damage now and most likely will remain that way for the rest of the season. If it means that the other team doesn't know that Maroney's left knee (for example) is one hit away from causing him to be IR'd; then I'll willingly accept the BS injury reports.

Its a good thing that BB refuses to point out his players' weaknesses to other teams and that good thing allows him leeway in other matters. I'm sure wasn't easy to keep the team on his side when he let the superstar kicker, the top two WR's and Willy depart; but stuff like this attitude towards the Injury Report makes it a little easier, or maybe even possible altogether.
