I have a few binkies that did not get drafted and would love to bring in when it is possible.

Mine are:
Ugo Chinasa
Brandon Bair

Any others have guys they still have hopes for?

Zach Hurd is the best guard that UConn has had in a decade, and the last two that made the NFL were either on a practice squad (Krug on the Patriots) or else an immediate rookie starter (Thomas for the Dolphins). I watched a lot of Hurd and he was a better guard than the other two.

Mr. Herzlich OLB BC

nobody drafted him just checked:)

Sure, why not. UDFA's are the time to draft locals. However, given who we drafted with our last two picks, we could have drafted him.

I agree.

perhaps BB saw this inevitability of not being off board and intends to sign him as an UDFA

Herzlich is ideally placed to sign on w/ an organization that can afford to wait for his development

I conservatively estimate Herzlich will be a force in 3 years and at 2 years he would fit fine.

Our window is the next 5 years. We have sooo many pieces. He would be another key acquisition

Cancer excuses/ fake injuries b/c of cancer will allow us to hide him. Prove that we are lying NFL

they would not dare accuse us or him of being "dishonest"

I sense BB thinks as I do.

Yeah, I'd like to see what Bair could do in camp. Also, I think DT/DE Corbin Bryant (line-mate of Corey Wootten) and OG Zach Hurd (blocker for Todman) went undrafted. Won't say I was "in love" with any of these guys, but they were on my list of potentially intriguing late-rounders/PFAs.

Not yet. Though I might have called a few before the draft was over and told them I was interested - though that might have drawn a fine from Goodell so maybe not.

I believe you could still talk to any draft eligible players up until Mr Irrelivant was named. You couldn't offer them a deal or anything but you could definitely express your interest and let them know how you see them as part of your team. To get a head start on these UDFA's you almost have to recruit them, so hopefully BB and the rest of the Pats war room were on the phones throughout the 6th and 7th rounds talking to these guys.

Generally the Pats will add around 20 rookies to the team through the draft and UDFA's, so I would expect to see us sign around 10 to 12 guys once this whole CBA mess is worked out. I still like a lot of the guys that are still on the board, many of whom have already been mentioned.

The guys available that I like:

LB- Herzlich
WR- Ricardo Lockett
WR- Terrence Tolliver
WR- Darvin Adams
WR- Tori Gurley
WR- Lestar Jean
WR- DeAndre Brown
WR- Andre Holmes
WR- Armon Binns
TE- Weslye Saunders
OL- Joshua Davis
OL- Zach Hurd
OL- Jarriel King
OL- Willie Smith
OL- David Mims
OL- Will Yeatman
OL- Justin Boren
OL- Kyle Hix
OL- Kris O'Dowd
OL- Zane Taylor
OL- Tim Barnes
OL- Alex Linnenkohl
DL- Ian Williams
DL- Cedric Thornton
DL- Adrian Taylor

DE/OLB- Pierre Allen
DE/OLB- Ryan Winterswyk
DE/OLB- Brandon Bair
DE/OLB- Ugo Chinasa
DE/OLB- Steven Friday

DB- Deunta Williams
DB- Kendric Burney

DB- Joe Lefeged
DB- Deandre McDaniel
DB- Jeron Johnson
K- Kai Forbath
LS- Daniel Aken
LS- Andrew Shulze
LS- Christian Yount
Ath- Jerrod Johnson
RB- Graig Cooper
RB- Brandon Saine

RB- Noel Devine
RB- John Clay
RB- Derek Locke
RB- Mario Fanin
RB- Vai Taua
QB- Scott Tolzien
QB- Pat Devlin

So there is obviously a lot of guys still available that we could look at as UDFA's. I'm obviously not expecting anything from them, but it would create competition, which is always good. I think the best player that went undrafted was Deunta Williams from UNC, who was a 1st round pick this time last year, and a 2nd round pick until he got hurt in the bowl game.

Here is Bunting's best available.

Defense

I liked Willie Smith as a practice squad player but not a real huge need now that Solder, Cannon and Vollmer seem to be the future of the line. Liked Locke but now has no value to our team with Vereen and Ridley onboard. Would love to see Jones brought in to battle it out as a 4th or 5th CB.

Anybody else thinks Maehl from Oregon :D?

Seriously: more offensive linemen (Mills, Boren, O'Dowd), a flexible defensive lineman (Williams from ND, ), some WR (Tolliver, Spencer from NC St), and perhaps another RB? (John Clay, Noel Devine). And gunners, so any LB or S or CB that went undrafted may be given a chance (the S from Rutgers and the one from GT, Cornell from Ole Miss).

Remember nobody can pick any prospect because of the lockout. Technically, there's no free agency. They may approach prospects in the mean time, but signing them is a long way to go.

I agree and would add:

Mario Fannin RB Auburn - can't believe he wasn't drafted!
Schuylar Oordt TE Northern Iowa - practice squad
Armon Binns WR Cinny - practice squad
Tim Barnes C Missouri - practice squad
Ugo Chinasa OLB Oklahoma State - practice squad
Joe Lefeged FS Rutgers - practice squad
