NFL Channel reports that Martin has been signed by the cowboys and Vanderjagdt has been cut. I think he handled himself very admirably while here in training camp and hope he does well

I was wondering when that would happen, it seemed way too obvious of a move.

Wow. If the renaissance of the BB-BP friendship is true, BB may have given Gramatica a glowing recommendation.

Vanderjerk has take a major nose dive, eh?? The bigger they are the harder they fall.

Liquored up kicker; gets kicked off, smooth move Vanderjackass...

Wow!

I mean, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, though. Vanderjerk is a total loser.

WOW, I believe that this will be a huge cap hit for the Cowboys.

He was signed to a three year deal with a 2.5 million signing bonus

If I get my Miguel math right, that is an accelerated cap hit next year of about 1.7 million for a kicker that you cut. OOUCHHH

Addition by subtraction ... good move for the Cowboys. Vanderjerk is washed up ... kicking horse nuggets around barns is where he belongs.

Im just going to say this but I think we should sign him... I know what your thinking but if we are going to win the super bowl this year we are going to have to go to Indy. Vanderhagdt knows how to kick in the dome. If anyone can help us win in Indy it Vanderhagdt.

I've seen some odd things posted in this forum, but . . . :wha:

"DillNisWillN28 ... Are you a liquored up forum poster?"

Guess you forgot this:

Keep Vanderjerk as far away from a NE uniform as possible.

As much as we may dislike the guy, PFT thinks the same way.

WOW. Protalk, though funny and entertaining, also has had it's share of spot-on predictions but this one is wild. Wild enough to happen? Honestly I don't see it, BUT talk about the height of IRONY,omg lol!
It would be kinda cool to see Vanderchoke nail one in the dome for US after blowing it last year for peytie...

Vanderjackt does not belong on the Pats. I have faith in our kicker.

He obviously is not doing well because the cowboys cut him... FOR GRAMATICA. He's not having a good season at all... and I think he won't have a good season ever again :)

If we didn't aggressively pursue Jerry Porter for character reasons, why the heck would we go near THAT guy? I just don't get PFT's rationale.

Also, Vandy appears to be a choker (putting it mildly), the anti-Vinatieri. What evidence do we have that he's an improvement over Goskowski in the "clutch" department?

No need to litter the forum with another thread, but what a priceless thread title:

KICKER KICKED OFF

:p

I don't want him either and as I said I don't see it happening at all, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying a brief visual of Vandychoke nailing an in-yo-face-peytie playoff winner for the Pats. All things anti-colts make me smile and I'm not real picky about them either:D
