His team lost, but he still came up huge in another playoff game. Can't believe he can still nail a 50 yarder must-make playoff FG at his age when he hadn't even attempted one all season. It's a shame he won't get the appreciation his performance tonight deserves.

He should have never left NE. Damn shame.

It's kicks like that that makes me wish he stayed with the Patriots.

No one kicks a truer ball that Vinatieri. Amazing.

Think he will make it to the hall of fame? Or will he suffer the same fate as Ray Guy?

I once called him Vinatraitor, but that anger ceased a while ago. I gotta cheer for the guy unless its against the Pats. I would put him as a top 3 kicker of all time solely on his clutch kicks.

He's the NFL's G.O.A.T. kicker, if he doesn't make it then no kicker ever should. He's accomplished more as a kicker than anyone else ever has/probably ever will.

going to the colts really was a good decision for him. does anyone know how many kicks he has ever missed in a dome in his life? exactly.

this kind of ending really makes me nervous about graham. could that guy ever kick a 50 yarder with less than 1 minute in the post season? Hopefully, the Pats just blow and go so we never find out the answer to that question.

Several of his kicks are iconic. That should make the difference to get him in.

That Raiders game had him knocking on the door, the SuperBowls in NE, and getting the Colts past the Ravens and winning 1 w/ the Colts punched his ticket. He is known as the greatest clutch kicker there is.

Its just too bad he got sick of the cold and moved to that fly over city w/ a dome

Um...I think after SB 38 he should have had his ticket punched. (He missed 2 kicks in the SB but rebounded for the big one!)

Even in those first few months after going to the Colts, I still love him. I don't care if he kicks the game winner against the Pats in next year's championship game (though that would suck), I'd still love him.

Do you guys remember the feeling when he kicked the 45 yarder in the blizzard against the Raiders? And then against the Rams? Then the PANTHERS!

Legendary. Let's face it; without Vinateri, THERE IS NO DYNASTY

Love Adam but BB let him go at the right time and we're set up for the future without paying Adam's hue contract. It's the way we operate. It's why we are the Pats.

Mark Moseley of the Redskins is the only place kicker to win the NFL MVP award. The year was 1982.

He is the kicker I would choose for the game winning kick. Graham is looking ok, but, I don't know. I still get nervous when he's out there.

Well, Collinsworth or Michaels said it...

There's only 1 pure kicker (meaning only kicks, nothing else) in the Hall of Fame. So I think he had to do more game on the line kicks than he had when he left. Since there is only one HoF kicker, Vinatari needs longevity and clutch, and some more longevity.
