Ravens figured out our audibles last year?

2010 Patriots fight song:
And I'm proud to be an NE PATRIOT
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the man who shattered his organs
And gave his job to Tom Brady
So I proudly stand UP next to you
DumdeedoodeedoodeeDAY
The Pats return to glory in '10
For good ole' USA!
(I wrote that myself)

Really? I had no idea. :D

What could have been the audibles last year?

Audible 1: Moss run a streak, Welker run an option route, everyone else try not to suck?

Audible 2: Laurence Maroney 2 yard gain

Audible 3: Moss run a streak, Welker run a screen and everyone else try not to suck?

I'm sure it wasn't hard to figure out.

actually, ur forgetting wes was out for that game....

but that only makes ur point stronger really

Not only did it look like they figured our audibles and offense out, but it also looked like they re-injured Brady's ribs on the flattening hit by Ray Lewis earlier in the game. He just looked completely off the entire game.

during the cadence Eli always says `Omaha` the time before he wants the ball snapped. So he will go hike hike hike hike omaha hike (ball snapped)

You're correct. I got it wrong.

You forgot the most important play of the season, the Kevin Faulk draw. I believe that was audibles 4 through 17 of the playbook last season, as well as pages 18 to 29.

Honestly, how did nobody want this guy 2 off-seasons ago? He expected a bid war between the ravens and cowboys and nobody wanted him so he went back to baltimore(unless I have this story wrong). I love Spikes but Ray Lewis would of been sweet to have next to Mayo....

IIRC in the Patriots 2003 or 2004 playbook that was released, Omaha is the code for the play clock is running down.

I was actually talking to someone about this yesterday....Ray said that he would only listen to audio of brady at the LOS and then he would watch the video to pin it to the plays they would run....Ray said he knew every audible and what the play was by doing this.....I can't believe that NFL teams don't change audibles especially after we had played Baltimore earlier in the season.....But yes Ray knew every audible Brady was calling....

yep. I don't know about Eli saying it, but you could hear Brady yell Omaha on almost every play. lol.

Omaha actually means the snap count is on 1.....usually Tulsa means on 2 and then from there it is usually team specific.....we used these same calls in college but we used red, white and blue in semi-pro ball for the snap counts....

I just wonder why Omaha, and Tulsa? Why not Worcester, or Roxbury? :D

It's because omaha and one both begin with O.....Tulsa and two begin with a T......we would use Amigo for a snap on three for the three amigos....

I'm sure it wasn't hard to figure out.

They RARELY listen to me when I call it from the stands:

"RUn the play where you score the touchdown"

If you have smart players, you can use an old rugby trick for line calls:

The Words DERBY F**** NOTTINGHAM don't have any shared letters between them.

So, for our calls, the first letter of any word called by the scrumhalf (a Rugby QB) would correspond to one of the words, and we'd know the ball was going to 1, 2 or 3.

Example: KANGAROO would mean the ball is going to the second guy.

The only problem is that sometimes the signal caller would get creative and make people laugh.

lol, they should use local names across the league.

Seriously though, most of the teams use Omaha because of the sound/voice inflection. It means the playclock is running down. I've heard that in a couple of different game broadcasts.

Considering that many people on this board were saying they knew which plays were coming while sitting at home watching on TV, this really isn't that surprising.
