The play I come back to is how long they took to get to the line on that second INT. They should have run the play immediately.

Agreed. Brady's head wasn't in the game. O'Brien's play calling was weak but Brady kept forcing the ball to receivers that weren't open. The decision to trade Maroney and elevate GreenEllis to starter looks pretty arrogant and ignorant right now.

I just don't get it. The blueprint was there on Sanchez and the Jets O. Baltimore shut them down about as bad as I've ever seen a defense stop an opposing offense.

Because we don't have the personnel to play that way. We have a rookie defense, an overrated coach, an even more overrated quarterback, and a failing, aging offense. I think this is the year the wheels fall off. Assuming the patriots will be playing this way for the rest of the season, I predict a 3-13 season.

**** off!!

So why did we not try to mimic what they did which clearly stifled Sanchez? I mean I understand him and the Jets had some time to go over their own tape and correct the errors, but still... I just do not understand the defensive gameplan after the first defensive series.

"Outcoached" is a bad word, and it's clearly on the edge of my tongue here. It almost looked like the Giants Super Bowl game, which I consider Belichick's worst coaching performance ever.

We were outcoached today. I think most of us could tell that Butler was in trouble early and IMO he didn't get enough help today. What happened today should never happen, a team coming of of a very physical week 1 loss on a short week won the battle of the trenches for the most part and took control of the game in the second half. I have yet to see this team going back to last season play better in the second half than in the first and thats another problem. The ravens don't have a better secondary than us but their D was better coached. Baltimore did to Sanchez what we used to do to Manning. They moved around alot before the snap and confused the hell out of him. Sanchez looked in control all day long.

What did Brady say after the game?

This was a teams lost. They play as a team and loose as a team. It's that simple, and I'm not about to single one player out.

I'm out of here. I've got my own kids in the background whining.

Defense wins Super bowls. Our D was mediocre before we lost 2 of our best, Bodden and Warren. PS, I got news for you-Miami will win the AFCE. Will we make a wildcard? I'm not so sure...

Running game was crap. Too many 2nd and 10s. Butler looked like crap even though that 2nd PI call was crap. Brady played like crap. 2nd half was crap. Play calling was crap. D line was decent, though. Good thing it's just 1 game.

It's week 2..... There is a long way to go. I am happy we are'nt going to peak too early!

Sorry iif what I'm about to say has alread been said..I', too pissed to read 13 pages....butler is killing us and Brady tried to force too many passes to Moss

That's a myth. Check out the WSJ.com and I believe they had a report which analyzed how many SB's were won by the D. Think it was around a third.

What's really disappointing is how they reverted to last years form. Offense and defense were terrible in the second half. Other than Warren's sack to start the second half there were no big plays out fo the defense. Where is Mayo on the field? The offense just looked like they had no clue as to what play to call.

By the second half of the season the defense is going to be very good IMO As far as the offense goes i see it as the same as last year. Brady keeps trying to force it into Moss and Obrien keeps calling for these long bombs to moss. Why go out and get all this talent at TE when you don't use it?

listen we played like garbage in the 2nd half. too many forced throws...the defense is young and if anyone thought this team was going to the super bowl you would be sadly mistaken.

Matt Light was a turnstile on one play and it killed us. we had some momentum. It's time to get Mankins on the line and get him inked.

not knowing the injury to faulk and the age of Taylor we do need another RB.

It's time to focus on buffalo because the jets punched us in the mouth and won.

congrats to the Jets....they deserved the win..

Re: What we learned today

I was more disappointed by the decision making than the turnovers.

The first INT was a good INT, effectively a punt.

The fumble? What can you do?

Yeah I didn't mean to indicate that only 3 plays were bad. Some of those throws (including the decisions) to Moss especially were just out of character. For example with Comartie in perfect position throwing it directly to him, Moss had to play defense on that throw.

Welker didn't get many looks in the 2nd half, did he play many snaps?

Bill O'Brien has got to go.

I do not like him..... he lacks creativity and is not respected by TFB.....

Sick one 1/2 showing...... you are unimaginative and not a good coordinator.

Bill O..... GFY:mad:

Definitely one of the most obvious problems was Brady forcing too many passes, especially with so many weapons on offense. I just can't fathom what he was thinking!
