they are talking about this play as if it was the best play of the week. I'm pretty sure that is exactly what they just said on MNF. Of course it was from Stewart Scott though, and he thinks any good play from an overhyped black player is the best ever.

Mike Vrabel could have returned that punt for a td. It was nothing special.

I saw that and thought the same thing.

No one got even close to Bush. It was good blocking but the Saints and flat out bad coverage by the Bucs. But of course since Bush did it it was spectacular.

Never before have I seen such an underwhelming touchdown so overhyped. But we all knew it would happen... the media has to save face after drooling over this kid for almost a year only to find him playing like a regular human once he hit the pros. (No disrespect to Bush... hell of a reciever, great moves, excellent athelete, yada yada yada)

plus he is Stewart Scott's "Dog". So if he ends up being a bust, at least he has that going for him. Stewart Scott is known for having street Cred.

Bust or not, all that's important is that he's "cooler than the other side of the pillow".

...

I thought it was spectacular... :(

Really? I thought it was good, but certainly not worthy of the media splooge-fest for the past 12 hours or so.

(I'm sure Zippo forgot his smilie ;))

May I ask why? I'm just curious....no one even touched him and it looked pretty standard to me. He didn't even have to make any special moves.

:(

Reggie so far hasn't really been as explosive as most predicted him to be, but when I look at him, I think of the things he is doing for New Orleans and I thank him for it. His TD absolutely sent that crowd into a frenzy.

I do agree that the media overexposure on this issue is too much. But hey, after Donovan-TO, they need something else to occupy time:)

I was serious when i said that Vrabel could have ran it back.

He didn't do a damn thing.

Bethel Johnson would have run it back.:singing:

Doesn't Bush lead the NFL in receptions? I guess that's nothing special either.

You're so eager to cast aspersions at every possible opportunity you don't even bother read posts do you?

It wasn't spectacular.... but was it real?

Here is what is stupid. If Maroney did the same return to beat the Phins on Sunday all of you would have went bananas over it. Good for Bush. It was a nice play.

Actually, that is nothing special. Catching scores of dumpoff passes for moderate gains isn't going to set the league on fire.

It sure does when you get 3 points per reception in your fantasy league.

You are right we all would have............ so you are right on that part.

But I doubt Stuart Scott and the "jacked up!!!" crew would be kissing his arse like they were Reggie's...

It's like they have to justify how good he is... we get it. Bush is good, he does not need their help.

Digger, come on buddy! You said it.... Good for Bush. It was a nice play. But, worthy of a four man circle-jerk on Monday Night Countdown and every other football talking heads show? Hardly. Also, was some nice ST play by the Saints, with one block that cleared the lane so completely, Bush didn't even have to dance a step to get through.

I say let him have his moment. The Saints are a great story for drama. It was a comeback win. 68 yards is a long way. Kudos to the Saints and Bush. Lomo will be happier with a Lombardi over his head.
