true, they would have done the trade first before releasing players

i think it is. sounds intriquing...definatley cant hurt us having a "happy" Porter here

so a trade is possible right before the deadline in 2 weeks? hmm

Apparently, the Pats released 2 players today. And 1 of them was a WR.

read the statement. I said they would do the trade BEFORE they released players. and they released players prior.

Something tells me that there is some truth to the Raiders considering moving Porter.

They are playing terribly....and they have a percieved cancer in the clubhouse.

Sounds like Porter is pushing every button he can to get out of Oakland.

2 years ago, the guy was one of the scariest recievers in the league. He's on a team going nowhere.

Why would he want to rot his best years away for a loser?

If Porter's a fast learner, I would love to have him, Gabriel and Caldwell as the top three, Troy as the 3rd down posession guy and Jackson "redshirting" as the #5 guy.

I read the statement.

Why wouldn't the team make room on the roster/practice squad BEFORE they pick up another player?

your saying then, that all teams ALWAYS get the player first THEN make a roster move?

the only way they would clear space would be if the trade was unannounced at this time. otherwise why would you clear space for a player you don't have

It wouldn't take a #1 to get Porter, would it? I'm thinking a #2 at best, we we know it will be worth about a #55-64 pick.

If porter is only 1 mil a year against the cap, then do it... if he acts up, kick his @$$ to the curb.

i say wait it out for a 3rd rounder. and pay cash also this year if you can do that

I agree. Oakland will get nervous as the trade deadline approaches.

"One mans poison is another mans tea".

Personally I would take a chance on Porter, the up side could be tremendous,

the down side could be easily remedied. jmo

Who cares, its a fun rumor. Whats wrong with letting our imaginations run wild?

Wow. That's all? What about bonus $ and how does that work in a trade?

That's not true. He would want more money. That's part of the reason he's unhappy in Oakland.

NO MORE THAN A 3rd ROUNDER. Period. F you, Oakland. Why would we give up a 2nd, let alone a 1st? We just scored 38 points. 3rd round pick - take it or leave it.

I love how the setup is classic "random rumor": my cousin knows a radio host who says...

Come on. Okay have fun, but that plus Gabriel already working out fine, in exchange for a ham sandwich and some peanuts (or something...) why? The problem now isn't lack of targets, it's jelling.

Hey Doug, you jellin? I'm jellin like a felon. Maroney, you jellin? I'm jellin against the felons. How about you Dillon? I'm clock killin. Hey Tom, you Jellin? I'm Jellin and Caldwellin. Hey Calwellin, you jellin? I'm so jellin my eyes are swellin...

With a bit of refinement, that's a classic.

-Hey Tom, how's your body language and your new receivers. We're gellin'-

I take it no teams are showing an interest in Porter.
Hey Al, nice leak but take the second.
