Most of you have, I'm sure, heard that beer commercial " real men of genius".

I heard it today and thought that that the TV talking heads, the writers, and the radio sports show people are truely real men of genius. So, maybe we should have a thred 'saluting" those guys.

I thought of who I might have as my first post. All the ususal suspects in the local media came to mind but the "cream" of the crop" are suppose to be in the national media. I decide to "salute" one of those guys first.

So, my first "salute" goes to:

jackson_tom_c.jpg

His immortal "they hate their coach" statement earns him a place in the "real men of genius" HOF.

A true genius. Even BB was able to appreciate this after the XXXVIII victory with his comment to Jackson: "Go f*ck yourself."

Shannon Sharpe yesterday picked the Bengals saying the Pats "have no chance" Marino response "no Chance (with a laugh)" Shannon: "nope no chance"

That is my salute! Bettis gets an honerable mention. for the "unconvincing" comment.

What about felger??? WHo has been saying for weeks that this team lacks the talent of before...He has been riding this team for many weeks..REAL genius..and running backwards so fast now..I hope callers..take his words and make him eat them all...Genius...one of many!!!!
(As opposed to felger, Holley called a big Pats win on Monday a day after Denver...Hats off to him..one of the few whou even thought it was possible..)

To be fair Felger wrote an article today that called himself and others out for what they thought. It was a decent article.

I don't think you can slam media members for picking the Bengals. The Patriots hadn't really played well in three games. They put it all together at the right time like the always do. I should know better than to doubt them but a lot of people thought the Bengals were going to win this game, so it's hard to single out anyone and say they were wrong.

I'm Ron Borges? said:

Ronnie, did my post slam the poor media for picking the Bengals? No, it didn't.

I saluted Tom Jackson.

I'm sure that Ron Borges isn't far from getting a salute, soon.

You seem to be a media person or a media person wanna be.

I guess I will have to read that..still felger is far from getting redemption with one article..he's been a know it all for many weeks..condemning the team..stating again and again this team has much less talent than in other years..blah blah blah...he gets a gold star for one article..ONE compared to many hours weekly of slamming the team...a start..but just that..like Borges..he writes a good article once in awhile..still he needs to be nominated..

Well, I just heard that Mensa member, Greg ****erson call The Ghost an embarrassment.

Yup, The Ghost is an embarrassment.

Real men of genius!

You know, they could do a "RMOG" for the entire ESPN crew. For a bunch of former NFL players....Good God, they could'nt pick an ear of corn in Iowa.

I wish we could find a listing of all the times in the past 5 years they picked the Pats to lose. I bet some of them picked us to lose 90% of all games.

If we were playing Ohio State next weekend, I swear that half of them would pick OSU.

Well certainly Irvin would qualify for many, many reasons. Jackson made it for one statement.

Ditka could make it for trading his entire draft for Ricky Williams.
