It's a call to arms people! I'll do my part, unfortunately it'll be from the couch!

"He's a tremendous motivator, that's the type of thing we need here at home. We need our fans to be involved in the game, and we hope we can get that come this Sunday night when we line up against the Broncos."

We should get "Destro" (the bald guy who paints his head silver with the Flying Elvises) to do something like that. But I don't want to do a "P-A-T-S, Pats, Pats, Pats!". We need to come up with something catchy but not something that's been done before.

When did Gillette suddenly get this reputation as Petco Field East? It's always been a fairly loud stadium at big points in the game ... maybe not Arrowhead, but pretty good.

The Pats stink up the joint in the first half against the Bills, and they wonder why the place was quiet? Is that it?

Tell me that our players do not notice how quiet the effete corporate crowd is at Gillette compared to other stadia. Too many tix are owned by corporations who give them out to suck-up of the month employees who are at best tepid fans.

I'd be happy to volunteer, however if I go up on anyone's shoulders......................someone will die of severe spinal compression.

Fireman Ed is insane. I watched him pretty closely Sunday. His "J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets" bit is OK, but he goes way beyond that. Late in the game he was standing on a railing making these wild arm gestures like he was some sort of svengali casting a spell. But Colvin is correct in that we need something/someone to get the noise going at Gillette. The Jets fans made a lot of noise.

H'mm, perhaps a dozen litter bearers with you lounging in a parka wearing something exotic on your head, maybe one of those Egyptian silver things with a Vince instead of Anubis. Then you can lead the crowd in winter songs...'Oh the weather outside is frightful, which makes Pats' games so delightful, the (donkeys, fish, jills, jesters, ponies) are going to blow, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow'...

We could always steal one from the Colts playbook and pipe in the crowd noise over the loudspeakers. But I think the concensus is the stadium isn't built to retain sound. Where is NEM with his annual diatribe about the yuppies in the Red seats? :D

As I mentioned in a earlier post, about being at Giants Stadium. That stadium is built for fan noise. It is a great place to see a gmea, they built that stadium perfect for the fans. Lots of seats with room, and the built it up, instead of back, so you are right on top of the game. Not a bad seat in the house.

The Razor was built for the luxury boxes, and the new Giants stadium will also be built for that also. I guarentee you, that the new Giants Stadium will not be as loud.

The Razor is built back, for the luxury boxes instead of up. The top sections are too far from the field. Those are some loud fas up there, but because of the dimensions of the stadium, they can not be heard. Trust me, the top sections of Giants stadium can be heard. The luxury boxes are actually behind te last row in the stadium. Now because of that the don't have as many, and can't charge as much. Owners hate that, the new design for Giants Stadium, is loaded with low luxury boxes, and the top fans are in god's country and are no where near the field like Gilette.

I think the Pats fans do a pretty god job of being loud and passionate, but the stadium doesn't allow them to have the same impact as Giants Stadium.

Real hard core fans as opposed to bandwaggoners of all financial stratas will extole their team to fight on against all odds, not boo them for a disappointing "performance" which is what those kind of fans have come to expect and expect to watch.

I think it's even OK to boo a lackluster effort by the team as a motivational tool say departing the field at the half, but only if as a group the so called 12th man's performance hasn't been so equally lackluster they've contributed nothing to deserve 12th man status.

The Pat's fans haven't represented a 12th man component since Gillette opened though, and the Kraft's bear some responsibility for that.

Picture Dom Deluise as Caesar in History of the World, Part I.

I have a feeling the only thing that would incite, is crowd vomiting.

I think I'm out of the running.

The problem is Gillette is not great for noise to begin with. Couple that with the fact that all the "true" fans are nowhere near the feild and you get a quieter, more corporate atmosphere. I have heard a lot of stories about people yelling on 3rd down only to be told to sit down because they are disrupting the game and the experience.

I do not agree with this at alll. If you watch the last game (which I know you did) you would see that fireman Ed kept the crowd pumped up even when the Jets were losing by 24. When the Pats were losing to the Bills our crowd started booing. I dont know if it was due to the score or due to play calling at the end of the half but either way it does not matter. If our team has the ability to come back and win we should still be doing our part to cheer them on.
Not that it matters so much but didnt ours fans at the stadium look kind of stupid booing our team which came back to win against the BIlls?

That's why the parka instead of a toga. Dom Jr., it's a natural, add a white beard and fur lap rug - who wants to see a skinny Santa? This is the same thing, Jolly Old New England, home of Maniacs, Live Free Or Die, and Rhode Island Reds. I mean if Teddy can keep getting reelected, "c'mon"! Think of all the time the camera crews will spend showing the pride of New England! Phil Simms will stutter over you. Just wear linemen's numbers. Slag, this is a match made in Valhalla! :D

This is totally wrong. I was there, the Jets fans were booing until the Cotchery TD. The whole first half they were quiet, and when they did make noise it was loud boos. The Jets got booed mercilessly going into halftime. When they failed on 4th down in the 3rd quarter, a lot of Jets fans just left. Teh rest stayed and booed. But once they scored the 2 TDs, the few fans who stayed got loud, real loud. But again that is more Giants Stadium than the fans.

I think you've found my calling.

Now all I gotta do is score some fireman-ed "primo location" season tickets.

It's hard to lead the charge from the ionosphere.

welp

no shortage of village idiots

let the contests begin

That is when you turn around and tell them to STFU!

No Thanks, Grown Man riding another Grown Man's Shoulders. Rather creepy.
