OT: Rex Ryan: 'Impossible' to consider Jets not playing in NY Super Bowl

Winning allows for a long leash.

Well, he did take them to the AFCCG in his first year with a terrific D even after losing Jenkins, didn't he?

I found his rants aggravating last season, then learnt to laugh at them, but now find them as interesting as the mumblings of a homeless drunk.
Winning does give you a long leash.. but the Jets didn't actually win anything. That's the point.

You don't hear Sean Payton running off at the mouth like Tubby Wrecks.

Oh Rex...you fat little old man...you will learn one day

that's some crystal ball Rex has there...

I suppose its also not impossible for the Lions to play in the 2014 superbowl at this point :bricks:

I'm surprised Rex didn't mention that the Jets would be working on their 4th straight championship in SB XLVIII.

He's either slipping or he doesn't have that much confidence in his team.

It's funny...

Even pre Parcells, the Patriots would have killed for a coach like this.

The grass is always greener I suppose.

If/when Belichick retires and if/when Ryan becomes the staple (giggity) of the division, Patriots fans will immerse themselves in baseball, basketball & occasionally hockey where they belong.

I would have tripped over with excitement at the prospect of a loud mouthed oaf who hadn't proven a thing in the NFL as a head coach.

I would have been so excited that when he lead his team to a 9-7 regular season record and caught a little bit of heat in the playoffs, I'd extend his contract to life and give him total responsibility to embarrass my organization.

Woohoo!

they'll say anything there to sell those 10,000 psl's.

I mean seriously.

I hope no one genuinely gets angry by Ryan's comments.

He's having fun and trying to give his team some confidence. Eric Mangini is someone worthy of serious hate.

Correction - he's providing me with much fun... :p

Another Green Beans troll. Do you like yours steamed, or sauteed?

You're just having fun with him as well and that's fine, I will as well.

It's just the people who seriously think he's some malicious evil man that confuse me a bit. Joey Porter, there's a guy who seriously questioned the integrity of our team and personally attacked the entire organization. He's worthy of real hate.

Tubby Wrecks isn't evil. I'm sure he's a decent enough person away from the spotlight. He does have a very big mouth.. some would say a New Yorker's mouth that is keeping me entertained. Either way it's destined to end up in a bucket of laughs for someone.

What he is though is the Head Coach of the Jesters. That = lulz alone.

Jets Players Upset at Finding Notes From Brady and Belichick in Locker Room

Only four months after suffering the indignation of watching the New England Patriots players and coaches celebrate their sixth Super Bowl title of this century on their field and in their locker room, Jets players and coaches faced another awkward moment.

Left between the lockers of quarterback Mark Sanchez and cornerback Daryl Revis was a note from a recently retired Brady, that said, "Thanks for the memories. Unfortunately, my hand is too heavy with these rings to continue to play football, so you guys will have to carry on without me."

In the top drawer of Coach Ryan's desk was a note from Belechick, which said, "Rex, thanks for loaning us your space. It works well for celebrations and parties; I'm glad we had a chance to test it out."

With encouragement from the NFL Commissioner's office, the Jets have hired a security firm to check the facilities for bugs and hidden cameras. Revis was heard muttering something about "it's hard enough keeping Tate, Edelman, and Hernandez out of our end zone, but now we can't even keep them out of our locker room."

When asked by a reporter, Patriots owner Robert Kraft simply smiled.

Guys! I found out why REX is so sure of playing in SuperBowl in NY...

Every time those JETS play with PATS, it's a SuperBowl for them. Remember! In his own world, they are in SuperBowl every year.

That my friend would be epic, and hilarious.

6-10. And I will be laughing.

Glad I'm not the only predicting a 6-10 season for the "AFC East" favorites. That team will not be very good.
