Rotoworld - Buchanon Released

I know a few weeks ago someone said they knew this guy personally and he said he would come to a team like the Pats cheap so he could win. Cheap replacement for Bodden?

Don't think he's a replacement for Bodden.

Wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him, though.

I also remember someone posting here that when he visited the Pats in a pre-draft visit, he was all POed that they didn't roll out the red carpet and take him to the Capital Grille for lunch.

Looked great in the Cover 2 where corners only have to be decent rather good or better. Found out badly.

No thanks.

Do you expect Bodden to be retained? I don't think they will. Should be interesting to see what they do at corner.

If Bodden isn't resigned, we do need CB depth... and we do need help in the return game too. Hmmmmm

I think he should be retained.

Whether or not he is depends on what he's expecting in terms of a contract.

I certainly don't believe Buchanon is an adequate replacement.

How old is Buchanon ....45? whoops wrong Buchanon.

Bodden didn't look so great in Detroit either. I didn't see a lot of this guy, so I can't really say. I just know some people were speculating him coming here in a similar way to Bodden did for a low salary in order for a chance to win.

I am the person who talked to him a few weeks ago and then posted about it. I knew something was up when he was headed back to Detroit last night. I'm sure his agent will put in a call to the Pats (hopefully), but I know he will go anywhere where he has a shot at playing a role on a winner. He may have been a little immature as a kid coming out of the draft and I forgot to ask him about the whole pre-draft meeting with New England, but being on the Raiders, Texans, Bucs and Lions can change anybodies attitude about what they really want to achieve in football. I hope we get him for cheap, as there is no question in my mind he can help the team on defense and special teams.
