Congrats guys... he is a hard worker that makes plays.... he was the 2nd best WR on our team behind Moss, and he has learned from the best (Rice and Brown) .... Best of all he keeps his mouth shut and never complained as he moved up from the 4th WR to the 2nd in 2 years.....

The guy is big and fast... and just knows how to flat out play football... im still in shock why we traded him and i fell if we got anything thing less than a 2nd rounder you guys robbed us.....

Look for him to have a big year... Excuse me while i go drink the pain away.

Thanks, man. A classy Raider fan - who'd have guessed ? ;)

Thanks for the info. I've been reading scouting reports and Raiders boards, and the consensus is that he makes key plays and has great hands. He seems undervalued because he played behind Moss and Porter. Plus, he is extremely cheap for the next two years.

It's a GREAT trade for us. I can't wait for Doug Taylor to pair with Chad Rice as soon as possible.

Thanks for the inside info. I -hope- he works out. Hey, he's a bigger target than Tom's used to, so that must help. Those overthrows might not be overthrows anymore. I'm holding back on my opinion of the deal until I hear the compensation involved, however.

NOT Nice!

Android, thanks for the info!

Oh If he starts you guys better pick him up in the FA pool in your Fantasy Drafts.

I just added him in both my fantasy leagues :)

One Raiders fan wasn't so pleased: "it leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth that we traded him to the Patriots, the beneficiaries of one of the worst snow jobs in recent memory."

Since we're talking Raiders here, do you guys realize that when Al hired Gruden (a good choice, of course) that Belichick was the runner up ? Oh, how different things might have been . . .

:bricks: You guys are puting me deep.... you guys get a good WR from us but nooooooooo yall had to bring up the Snow Game :D

Let me apologize on behalf of Boston. You may have heard that the negativity in this town sucks.

Thanks for the info. I hope you're right.

Please, if they had just received Branch for a draft pick I'm sure there wouldn't have been any trash talk at our expense here right? It's all in good fun.

any video clips of him or Raiders game by game from last year?

Another Raiders fan who is not so enthusiastic:
"Doug Gabriel is a good receiver...but he has always had a case of the dropsies. Everyone remember the last two years? The guys has dropped sure touchdowns on more than a couple of occasions. He is a good player, but isn't great."

Im sure you can youtube something up... one of the best clips i will remember of him was when we beat the Broncos in denver 2 years ago and one of play he caught a 14 yarder , Champ Bailey comes to makes a tackle and Gabriel picks up with one arm and just tosses him out of bounds..... :rocker:

Well so has Jerry Porter... i mean its kind of hard to catch some passes thrown to you by Kerry ******* Collins.
