He actually seems to be rational in this one. He does pick the Pats to win the division but says Miami has a chance to overtake depending on injuries.

He lives up to his nickname 'Wrong' Borges.

Carolina is the Colts of the NFC now. Everyone picks them each year. Cinci's front seven won't hold up. Patriots all the way.........

I can't stand Borges, but I have no problem with that prediction. I think Bengals-Panthers is pretty solid, if it's not the Pats, and I think that would be a GREAT F-ing Super Bowl. That said, it won't be. It will be the Pats beating the Panthers by more than a TD in a Super Bowl that will be, finally, thankfully, BORING (for everyone but us).

Despite the fact that Carolina is horribly overrated. Delhomme has been a middling quarterback his whole career, yet one performance in a Superbowl sealed his rep amongst the uneducated. The defensive line is sooooo overrated, they get blown off the line all the time against solid rushing teams, and they've gotten shut down as pass rushers in big games way too often, Peppers included. The secondary is maybe the funniest overrated unit, I just heard some moron on ESPN say they have the best corners in the league, which is absolutely laughable. Chris Gamble might be a great athlete but he still doesn't know how to play the position. And DeShaun Foster is made out of paper mache. Steve Smith is a great player though, that I will say. Carolina got rolled in the playoffs last year though, they aren't THAT good.

I dont really have a prob with Car pick. There are too many teams better than Cinci though.

Seems to me that Borges has failed to recall the oldest line of them all.....Defense wins football games, especially in the post season. Cinci is lacking in that department and that will be their downfall.

Patriots "D" will reign supreme...easy ride for us this year, very easy. 13-3, homefield throughout, double digit playof wins followed by a blowout Superbowl - Ho HUM. Mark this down folks.....

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for New England-Dallas. That's my dream matchup.

Too many criminals on Cinci IMO, and that 85 guy is the best teammate in the league too.:D

Cincy could make it, they have a great offense, but I question their defense. They win a lot of games 35-31, etc. Playoffs are about defense. Carolina has an excellent defense, and their offense can be explosive.

I still remember reading an excerpt from something where Belichick was quoted as saying, "What F**king Bulls**t!" when he had gotten his full of all the D-line and secondary ball washing Carolina got prior to SB 38.

Not that I would expect writers to downplay the abilities of one of the SB entrants, but it was nice to see NE prove BB correct.

As an aside, does anyone remember the playing along the right sideline just prior to Antowain Smith's TD run in that game? The one where "Mr. Overrated" Ricky Manning Jr. tried to press David Givens, and Givens literally picked him up and threw him 3 yards out of bounds?

God, I love that play.

He said it because it's true. Carolina's secondary is extremely suspect. The safeties are average, and the cornerbacks aren't much better. And the defensive line, while talented, always seems to come up small when the pressure is on. Jenkins disappears, and Peppers gets eaten up by tight ends routinely, despite the talent both possess as pass rushers. I just don't get the fascination with that team, they aren't that good. I'll still take Seattle over them this year, provided Steve Hutchinson leaving doesn't severely impact their rushing game.

Did he say that if the Pats had David Terrell and Drew Bledsoe instead of Seymour and Brady, they'd win it all?
