From KFFL's HOTW..
Patriots | Team showing interest in B. Johnson
Thu, 13 Jul 2006 18:02:19 -0700
Blake Riddell, of the Star-Telegram, reports free agent WR B.J. Johnson (Buccaneers) said he is drawing some interest from the New England Patriots. Johnson is rehabbing a shoulder injury while hoping to make a return to the NFL.

wasnt he that very fast/quick kid from Texas?

I also noted another KFFL note indicating Dallas was interested, so this is starting to smell like some shotgun journalism, but there is a bit of history for grins and giggles. He's coming back from a shoulder injury, I haven't found when that happened...

if you refer to me i was joking of course - i understood he his 'another' Johnson

Looks like training camp fodder or practice squad material, right now... but stay tuned, I hope there is more substantive news soon, a lot of these threads are stretching for Pats info.

What does B. J. stand for?

Which is the bigger Johnson?

Now if only the Pats were showing some interest in getting Deion Branch signed!

They seem to be interested in every other receiver out there!

Maybe that gives you a small tidbit of information about what they think about the situation. Not saying thats the case but something to keep in mind.

If this is the guy I'm thinking about, at Texas I think he was strictly a #2 receiver, poseession type guy. I don't remember him being all that fast or particularily quick. Kind of a smaller version of TE Thomas, only not quite the same soft hands.

His name is Brandon Johnson Johnson?
Nope, BJ, but folks call him Brandon Johnson for his legendary hot poker skills. :snob:

I think we have a resident expert on this board don't we? Okay, maybe that was inappropriate but it was so damn easy.
