I got the following email yesterday at my work address. I don't know where they got it from because it had changed in the past year.

Anyway I wanted to pass this on. This is a good draft party from what I understand and for a good cause. There are several Patriots players there and it is an event that you can bring the kids,

Hello everyone after getting some much needed rest from a long fought season that ended way to early, it is time for me to start once again focusing my efforts on something e very important to me. As many of you know I lost my father to diabetes when he was only 48 years old. Since I have started my journey into the NFL I also began my journey to help find a cure and help others with diabetes. As I enter my 6th year in the NFL I am so proud to say that I am also entering my 6 year of fundraising. Last year was such a blessing and we were able to raise over 100 thousand dollars that went directly to the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) in Miami Fl. This year I have started the Vince Wilfork Foundation in an effort to support DRI and other organizations in their efforts to win this battle over diabetes. It seems like everyone I talk to has been effected one way or another by this disease. By coming together we can make a difference. I know that times are hard right now and that is the case for everyone but for me as a person who does not have diabetes I can only imagine what times are like for someone who does. As many of you know Pinz in Milford has become the official home of the Vince Wilfork Draft Day Fundraiser and once again this great establishment has opened their doors to all of us. It is my hope that you will join me in this fight. Please log on to www.pinzbowl.com for ticket and event information. If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute in another way please send me a email. As many of you know I answer all of my email myself. If you do nothing more than send your well wishes and forward this email on to others who may help, you have also helped. Thanks so much and look forward to seeing you or hearing from you soon.

Re: Big Vince's Draft Party.

That sounds seriously fun. Cursed miles between!

Re: Big Vince's Draft Party.

Thanks Nut :) Big Vince answers all his mail himself and works hard for a great cause too. He's such an asset to this team, both on the field and off.:youtheman:

Re: Big Vince's Draft Party.

He's all heart except for that one index finger that tries to get him in trouble.

Hey now, his wife has him on a complicated diet...

Hope he's hosting one in New England next year.

Fixed it for ya. I suspect he would hold it regardless of where he plays.

He will be. I just don't see any way the Pats let him walk.

Well that's super convenient. Pinz is walking distance from my house :)

thanks! plan on making it over to Milford this year

Went to this last year - good times ensued. Highly recommend.

Besides Vince obviously, Kevin Faulk was there, Ty Warren, Ellis Hobbs and Lonnie Paxton.

Ok, so I'm trying to buy tickets online and the button doesn't do anything, only the 12 and under button works.

Anyone know if this means it's sold out or if there's an alternate weblink?

email Vince, [email protected] He answers all his email himself, and would know if they are sold out, and would want to know if there was a problem with the website!

Just spoke to one of the gys at Pinz and gave him a heads up. He said he'll tell the web people and they'll look at it in the morning. I highly doubt its sold out as I recall tix being available at the door last year.

Wicked. Thanks a ton. I'm bringing some guys from our local youth centre and was worried I'd have to pull the plug on the trip.

Pissah.

I'm sure the kids will have a blast! Hope to see you there. :)

Tickets Acquired!

This will be a first trip out of the country for most of these kids, some of whom haven't really even been to a place with more than a million people.

We're going to do a LOT of driving and visit Boston and Foxborough, too.

How much is it to get into Patriot's place? Is it open Friday nights?

(apologies if this is cluttering up the original intent of the thread).
