It's easy, and only takes a few moments. That's actually really disappointing, I was hoping the Patriots would express some interest in him. I felt that he was really the only receiver out there that could do what Gaffney did, and maybe even stretch the field more with his speed.
That's a bit strong.Wide receiver has clearly become a DIRE need.
I don't think we're all that worried about a #3 WR either, while a lot of us appreciated Gaffney and what he brought, I believe we had him signed for approx. 1.1 mill or so--I believe Denver more than doubled his salary (4 yrs/10 mill) Just about anyone will do just fine, it's not really a position of need IMO. This small problem will work out just fine
That's actually not all that surprising. The Saints didn't have any receivers to speak of after Colston.

Actually they are quite deep in that department... other than Colston they have:
Devery Henderson - umm yay resigned!?
Lance Moore - poor man's Welker
Robert Meachem - speed guy with excellent ball skills
David Patten - ol' reliable
Ooooo really.....I guess Lance Moore and his 900+ yds and 10 TDs is a schlep.
Moore's an RFA who many Saints fan think might leave (tendered with a 2), Meachem is bordering on complete bust (he missed his rookie season and caught all of 12 balls last year - a total of one in the entire second half of the season). Patten was cut a few weeks ago.
Outside of Colston, before Henderson was resigned, they had only Meachem and Courtney Roby (return specialist) under contract. The Saints are very lacking in receiver depth. Henderson's a speed guy with little else, Meachem's a probable bust, and there's a possibility someone will sign Lance Moore away.
Many Saints fans feel that Moore will be offered a contract by another team, as he's currently an RFA (and with poison pills, RFA tenders don't get matched anymore). He was only tendered at the 2nd round level. Moore's actually a guy I'd like the Patriots to target, too.
