Well said, Sean me boy!

It's ALL about the market realities vs fanboy wet dreams. Timing is everything. Had the supposed 3 some trade really materialized, when would it have? Would the KC offer still be on the table or not? Only the alternatitve universe folks know for sure.

Me, I just hope we do better with our many 2nd round picks than the Bethels and Chads of yesteryear.

I am hoping for C/OG/OT Max Unger of Oregon with the #34 pick.

And why did 75% of these selfsame Patsfans so-called 'experts' think that Cassel shoulda been CUT in August???
Exactly. Not a single one of us is an expert. Trust in the front office as there is a plan and it's yet to unfold.

Oh Richter, you are such a VIP and the circumstances of you discovering the return of the trade so unique that your reaction deserves its own thread.

And clearly, you being the very important person you are, should be arbiter of such things. Amazing how many people feel the need to harp on the idea that someone would start a thread about their reaction to something that happened to their favorite team. Such a trespass to commit against you all, a thousand apologies.

didnt this 3 team trade have almost 3 weeks to get ironed out??? yes it did, which is why i think KC was the only market for Matt. The three team was too little to late, and now we have stupid Espn saying there is problems with Josh and Belichick now.. Give me a break..

I just realized why I was'nt understanding your big words. Their typos, alright now I get it .

They're typos, you mean? Perhaps a dictionary and thesaurus would be a worthy investment, sir.

Yep. Teams were hoping to wait out the Pats in order to get a bargain deal for Cassel, then got into a panic when KC stumped up pick 34. Too late by then.

The problem with this "PANIC" is those teams wanted CUTLER, NOT CASSEL. Unless Denver wanted to trade Cutler straight up for Cassel which by all the accounts of "reporters" seems to be the case, there would be no trade. And Denver rightfully so didn't think trading Cassel for Cutler straight up is a good idea.

I went out of town, to a location devoid of TV, internet access, even mobile service, this past weekend, and just returned to see Cassel has been traded for a second round pick? Are you $@!#ing kidding me? Tell me this is a joke or something. And Pioli was the guy boning the Pats like this? I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum already here, but wow, this seems like Belichick doing a close friend a favor or something. I'm sick to my stomach right now.

We blew our wad too early. Why not watch the rest of the movie to see if you can find a better scene to top off?

Typing skills are the issue here, comprehension, no problemo.

If Denver did want to do that then I'm sure Pioli would happily make the 3 way deal now and move from #34 to #12. For nothing and he'd be a hero in KC already. There was no 3 way deal unless more went to Denver. By all accounts I've read there was no other deal.

Because then you may not get to blow your wad at all. I'd rather do it prematurely than not at all . . .

Yep, that's what I was (apparently poorly) attempting to say.

Maybe Pioli's offer was coming off the table before long?

What if there is more coming??????

Me, I was away too but the dozen other threads on the very same topic did not prompt ME to start one to blather my 'all so important opinion' to the universe.

Let me guess, you can cite a dozen posts from last August where you personally argued for keeping Matt Cassel vs cuting him, right?

'm just trying to understand, why it's so hard for people to understand this fact. There was no other deal on the table for Cassel. For Cutler yes, for Cassel, NO

Again, I really love the implication that somehow, starting a thread on a messageboard constitutes a claim of one's opinion being "all so important" and blathering it to the "universe". I'm sure our distant cousins living on a planet orbiting alpha centauri are going to be thrilled. Your stake to the imaginary moral high ground here because you didn't choose to start a topic is exceedingly clear.

And what do posts from last August have to do with anything? Talk about a fallacious argument. One can hold an opinion of the current worth of a player that contradicts an earlier stance.
