OMG No team is coming up big for us

You're confusing the lack of a "franchise back" with the absence of a running game. To wit:

You are missing the point of why we have a running game. Our running backs suck, they blow, they the most worthless POS to have ever played the game. But defenses so fear our future HOF QB's deep ball that they are forced to focus on the receivers and ignore the running game.

Oh wait, never mind, that was last year's "why the running backs still suck even though they have great numbers" answer.

The one play I look back on that ruined our playoff chances ( if the Jets & Phins dont choke today ) is David Thomas's bone headed person foul in the Indy game. That was one of the dumbest plays I've ever seen, he single handedly cost us that game.

It would really suck to go 11-5 & miss out on the playoffs but I've got to tip my hat to the Pats this year for not packing it in when most teams would of folded in the face of all the injuries.

I'm tempted to feel the same way at times, looking back on the season. When I think about that penalty it makes me sick. However it's obviously easier to put the blame on someone whose actions/judgment were completely under their control--as opposed to things like whiffing on a sure TD pass, an unlucky coin toss, a blown coverage on 3rd and 15, etc etc etc. I'm sure Thomas would take that one back if he could.

There's many things that might have been but, to use a cliche, you win or lose as a TEAM. Luckily this concept is the cornerstone of the New England Patriots--directly opposite to that of the Dallas Cowboys.

I think Gaffney's drop hurt the most because we stopped the Colts many times from scoring a TD. That said i will not forget that Thomas play either and i am sure BB wont also.

THis is team

The Chiefs are hanging in there. Go Chiefs!!!

Waste a timeout, then got for it on your own 25? Great call Herm...

Chiefs just blew it to the Phins.

This is so unbelievably frustrating.

I think the Cowboys and the 6th seed were our best chance at the playoffs, and the 'Boys laid an egg against the Ravens.

It will suck if we go 11-5 and miss the playoffs to potentially see an 8-8 Chargers team get it. That would be sickening.

It wouldn't be so bad if the Dolphins and Jets had better teams than the Pats, but they don't.

Go Seahawks today and then go Jets next week, I guess?

I hope the Chargers win the Super Bowl this year over Arizona.

How friggen Herm still has a head coaching job in this league.

Holy crap! Chiefs ball!

EDIT: Eh, he's down.

Our haters are getting every chance to rejoice. The last 3 playoff losses, all heartbreakers, spygate, and now we are going to go 11-5 only to miss the playoffs. Who would have thought blind ignorant hatred and general lack of class would pay off for them one day... just beautiful.

The Jets are about to score too. And Baltimore is playing Jacksonville at home. This sucks.

ruling on the field stands. Come on Chiefs!!!

I am so done hoping for anything just to get thr rug pulled away from us.
If it happens great, but I am not getting my hopes up any longer.

we only needed one thing to happen out of about 6 and none of them did and seem to happen

1. bill win over jets to blow it
2. jags blow game to colts
3. dallas blow game to raven
4. kc blows game to miami
5. jets vs seahawks?
6. raven vs jags?

Sometimes that's life. We just need to handle whatever business we can and wish for the best. I'm so proud of this team winning 10 games it's all gravey. I'm not trying to be a ***** and act like I don't care, I'm just so proud through everything, all the injuries this team is 10-6.

Basicaly, Brady went down in the worst possible season. The AFC, particularly our division, has a lot of good teams.
