His pick for Comeback Player of the Year:

Mark Brunell is easily the guy for this award after the season he had last year. He was written off by a lot of people as being too old to be effective, but this season has proven the naysayers wrong with another great season and a playoff berth. He might not be as fleet of foot as he was with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Brunell makes up for his lost quickness with great field awareness.

Maybe Brady was right about the whole disrespect thing. . . . ;)

I dunno, Brunell HAS had a great comeback year. Tom Brady had a great year last year, hes not exactually comeback, is he?
Id have to agree with Theismann on this point... wow first one ever!

Maybe you missed the part when Tedy Bruschi came back to play after suffering oh, i don't know, a little thing called a STROKE.

That is a pretty good comeback. I dunno, its all personal opinion i guess.

Doesn't anyone notice that Mark Brunell is a REDSKIN?

I guess so. But in my book coming back to play after suffering a potentially life threatening illness is a little more profound than a perenially average player temporarily elevating himself to slightly above average. But to each their own.

Wasn't the NFL Films Tedy Bruschi special I saw last night called NFL comeback player of the year ? I know it may not be official, since it was just NFL Films.....but they sure made a good case for Bruschi.

If Giambi can "comeback" from self inflicted health issues and be honored for it, I would hope that the same would hold true for Tedy's naturally occuring issue.

Yessiree, it was definitely inspiring to see Dominic Rhodes and Edgerrin James run over him.

One man's opinion is like one man's a-hole. Sometimes the aroma coming out is the same.

Just my opinion.

It's a world gone MAD!! Jason Giambi took illegal steroids to have a career year in order to get a huge contract, in essance defrauding the New York Yankees, then he develops horriffic symptoms as a result of steroids and he gets HONORED by MLB for being a dirtbag cheater?????

At least Mark Brunell made his comeback the honest way......

I know none of this takes away from Tedy and the type of man he is, BUT 11 months ago he could barely SEE or WALK. Steve Smith should refuse the award....

The fact that someone actually voted for Ricky Williams just amazes me.

And a QB. We all know how Theisman is with QB. I don't think I have ever heard him blame a QB for anything.

Ive never thought a comeback player of the year earns it for comeback from sucking.
