I think we're looking at least a one game suspension for #72. Possibly even 2 games with how blatant & visible it was.

Mr Dolphin is the only one who deserves a suspension. He started it. Matt Light responded appropriately. The only thing that disgusts me more about this situation is that Joey Porter is still upright and playing for Miami. Too bad HE wasn't the one taking a swing at Light, because he'd have cleared the entire Patriot's benches.

Porter, however, wouldn't do something like that. He is a classic coward, all mouth/threat and no b@lls.

I'm predicting Light gets a one game suspension.

there was a fight in the bengals/jags game. Was anyone suspended ?

I think it will depend on whether or not Matt Light has a bad reputation according to NFL Executives. If this is a random incident he will not get penalized as harshly, but if the NFL has a bunch of stuff on him, he could be suspended up to 2 games I would guess. Hopefully, it'll just be a fine, but I dont know. He got 2 or 3 good punches on a defenseless, helmetless player. He probably should be suspended 1 game.

Roger "Jets" Goodell the emperor of all is in charge. I will not be surprised if Matt is suspended for his actions while the Dolphin is slapped with a fine.

I really didn't see anything blatant from Crowder to even warrant getting tossed to be honest. I think it was just a case of if one goes they both must go. Had Light not punched him then I bet both remain in the game.

Matt's actions were more visible but there was stuff going on prior to that. The Fin started it but even before that you could see all kinds of shoving, trash talk, and whatever else going on almost constantly through the entire game. Sooner or later something was bound to happen.

I bet a fly on the wall out there would attribute 75% or more of the attitude to Joey Porter.

We'll see what The Sheriff Decides:rolleyes:

You mean Crowder diving at Light's knees wasn't blatant? I guess we have a different understanding of what blatant means. In my world, blatant means intentional. And it sure as hell looked intentional to me.

mankins agrees

Patriots tackle Matt Light fight a dark point - BostonHerald.com

“Any time you have a team with the guy 55 (Joey Porter), he just won’t shut up the entire game,” Mankins said. “Then I think some of the other guys are starting to play the way he does.”

Saw on one of the news shows that an NFL source says they will review the ENTIRE game film before making a decision.

That's good because the Miami D was asking for it for much of the game.

I'll predict fines.

I loved the smile on Matt's face while he was walking out. The guy is such a goofball. :D

Of all people I don't expect you to be objectionable but was Matt Light taking 3 swings at Crowder's head with his right hand while holding him by a dread with the other not clear as day in your red, blue & gray colored glasses?

Yup.....because you dont want to piss off the godfather Parcels.....

the will be fined, but not suspended.......
agreed

none that I am aware of, no suspensions

this is a good thing because during the 1st half the announcer were talking about Light?porter getting into it but it was Light Crowder with Porter coming over after it was all said and done (more on this later)... Light and Chowder had a bunch of words through out the whole game and the FG was just the breaking point

Porter is the punk that had his Buddies jump Levi Jones before coming over to sucka punch him - Porter also fought Will Green before a game getting both bounced and he is teaching his turd ways to the rest of the Dolphins defense now that Thomas and the dancer are gone

Those are all valid points, but it doesn't excuse what Light did. Stooping to their level is exactly what they want us to do. Logan Mankins shoved some guy late on a Kevin Faulk carry & wasn't flagged for it. Yet you clearly saw Kevin tell him to knock it off. We have to better than that.

not defending it but by looking at the whole game not the play in question I am going to assume Goodell and his trigger finger band of hooligans will Fine not suspend Light much like he did with the Jags/Bungals fights.

say what you want about Lights ability but losing Light against Pittsburgh next week will not be a favorable thing

I haven't seen this posted but on the play before the fight play Crowder came up to Cassel was was extended in the pile and kneed him in the helmet. It wasn't super hard but hard enough to enrage your average offensive lineman protecting his quaterback. I remember when I saw it I was half expecting one of the linemen to go after Crowder right then. Anybody else see this ?
