Schefter: Disciplinary action for Wilfork [merged]

possible suspension according to schefter just now. they showed a play in the denver game not caught by ESPN, where he run after a bronco after a play and punched him...looked pretty bad and stupid.
EDIT:not to be conspirational but why wait a week for the the suspension ?because we play indy next week ?

I think a fine is totally in order but a suspension? For some finger pointing, slapping and shoving? I agree with Polamalu, Goodall is wussifying the NFL with every passing week.

Yeah, Wilfork is an amazing player, but sometimes it appears like he doesn't think it all through... which is unfortunate because he seems like a good guy off he field.

If I remember correctly, by the 3rd quarter the game was getting chippy. Still, no need for a hit like that. Hopefully it'll just be a fine.

I made a point to say that it was bush league after the game. Considering Wilfork was already fined twice for what the league is considered dirty plays or actions, he might be suspended this time. I am really disapointed in Wilfork and it was very unPatriot-like to lose your composure like that between plays. If he does get suspended, it is his own fault. It it plays into the Pats losing a game, he shouldn't get a free pass.

they showed the coaches tape where it was caught, it was blatant punch from wilfork on the QB i think or maybe a lineman

When was the cheap hit on Cutler?

I thought the guy big Vince hit was an OL, he slapped him in the helmet, pushed his facemask up and then poked him in the mouth, it was a big ugly guy, Cutler's ugly too but not that kind of ugly.

That's what I thought this was referring to also, hence my post. I didn't think that was all that bad.

Apparently, there was an elbow that Vince threw at Cutler that wasn't shown on TV...

If they were going to do anything it should have been this week. To do something two weeks after an incident is stupid.

Unless they passed a new Polian rule that says " any suspension of a players has to occur on the week that they play the Colts".

We play the jesters again in a few weeks, Jolly Roger will probably wait to suspend him against his favorite team.

Wilfork is definitely starting to establish a pattern, very disappointing.

I would hope that the team (Pats) would be able to apply some peer pressure to allow him to see the error of his ways.

This is too bad really. He's slowly becoming the next Albert Haynesworth - a super talented player who produces on the field but also doesn't know when to keep his hands to himself.

Was this for throwing a punch...not landing it?? A SD lineman threw a punch at Warren and not only was it NOT flagged...ut no action against him?? BS Goodell depends on who where and what..
