Late to the discussion but my only real takeaway is that I somehow didn't realize Brady & Garoppolo had the same agent. That changes EVERYTHING about the trade for me. You can no longer second-guess BB for trading Jimmy G for too little return. When your QB1 & QB2 are basically negotiating...
I woke up, saw that pick, read his overview, and was pleased. That's a very solid pick, low-risk/high value, fills a real need, (arguably) the best player available at 32, and someone who should be playing downs as a rookie.
He didn't throw Tom "under the bus," but he definitely laid the question at Tom's feet and I'm sure they've got these responses well crafted and in sync.
It makes much more sense to have Tom answer these questions. it mitigates the whole "Belichick Evil Empire" giant conspiracy angle and puts...
Agree.
Classic trap game, and we still pulled out a win. Nothing much to be mad about there.
No surprise, but how "easy" a win is each week seems to come down to O-line play. If those guys can play there best, I think we can beat any team in the league. When those guys get beat, or don't play...
Agree on all counts! They could have executed better here and there, and and the O-line really did seem overmatched, but overall, I thought they played a great team on their home field and lost by not a lot... anyone playing chicken little today isn't being reasonable.
I don't even think the Vikings need him, the combo of Asiata and McKinnon has been doing just fine and costs them very little. They have other areas to spend high draft picks on.
I'm sure White and Bolden will get their shots, and Vereen will see an expanded role.
I also think Devlin will see an expanded role in goal line situations in particular.
Just guesses of course....
I feel like they "played down" in the Houston game so it's certainly not out of the question.
Personally, I hate all the "they should win out, they should coast now" stuff from the media and others. They play the games for a reason, and even a bad team can have a great game.
Defensive PR 101: Always paint the aggressor as a "victim"
I think it's safe to say this goes well beyond the typically accepted rookie hazing. I'll be surprised if MUCH worse doesn't get released publicly soon.
I agree. I think it should be no surprise that rookie WR have the most drops. And what other team is starting TWO Rookie WR's (one of them undrafted). That's why the Pat's look so bad in these charts, because they are starting twice as many rookie's in skill positions as other teams (obviously...
Just because I think he should show a little more cool when times are tough like in Thursdays game doesn't mean I think he's a diva or that I think he is a bad leader or that I think he should be sat down or anything ridiculous like that. I just think that when times are tough and he's the the...
I'm a total, lifelong, Patriots homer, and a HUGE fan of Tom Brady. I'll be cremated with some old Foxboro tickets crumpled in my hand.
But that doesn't mean I can't call him out a little when I think he's not being his best. I don't like him freaking out like that over and over again. I think...
Ball was over his head and well in front of him, which is why he was so stretched out trying to reel it in and stumbled.
At least that's what I saw. If you saw it different, then we'll have to agree to disagree.
I'm not excusing Dobson for dropping catchable balls, but that one wasn't a...
The ball was overthrown, not all Dobson's fault.
Brady had a number of off throws last night, this wasn't all on the receivers, plenty if blame to go around.
