How was his footwork in '22? Lazar mentioned that along with the OC change, there was a change in how he was asked to do his drops, and that relearning may have lead to some of the uglyness in '23.
And why isn't Williams looked at that way? Because of his color choices?
I lived in Chicago for 13yrs, that town wants to win more any anything else, most people won't give a damn who is is off the field, as long as he plays well on the field.
He was answering a question about what JD would do for Washington if they drafted him....just another video/headline/quote taking something out of context to get more clicks.
I said over a month ago that the place that it made the most sense to look at in FA was on the D side of the house, would have loved a splash on that side for an additional difference maker...but that is not the way the FO is going to build the team, so that is the way we are going to move forward.
That makes be feel better, thought I missed someone...Light 2nd, Solder 1st, Brown Trade, Wynn 1st Brown Trade.
Roughly 70% of starting LTs in the NFL were drafted in the first two rounds.
Because trading for the player gets you the player, if you wait till next FA you are bidding against everyone else that is interested, and where the player wants to go. The largest bid doesn't guarantee the player.
He plays an important position, is on the older side, has a long time injury history, and has only played for one team in his career. It wouldn't surprise me if he hasn't gotten an offer he likes, and this is important, from a team he wants to go to. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he is...
The best value they are going to get for Fields is probably after the draft....teams that miss out of FA, and the draft QBs they like....they won't get picks until '25, but it is in their best interest to be patient. They aren't likely to get much for him anyway.
