    Watching games in philly

Hey what's up! Always great to meet another Pats fan in Philadelphia. We do indeed go to Smith's to watch the games. I was the one who posted on ESPN.com about it. Email me at notreallyscottwedman (at) gmail.com for more details.

If you send me your email address via private message, I can get you on our small but growing email list to watch the Pats together in Philly! I think the plan will be to meet at Smith's again this year! notreallyscottwedman (at) gmail.com

    Defensive scheme

I'm not sure this is that complicated. We have a long offseason to debate and ponder, but, in my opinion, there are 3 fundamental factors at work that have hurt the D. 1. Bad drafting: As Mike Reiss and others have noted, the Patriots didn't draft well between 2005 and 2008. 2. Too much...

There is no reason to panic

That's a small sample size, but I suspect they'll be working on throws to the TE a lot in practice this week.

So what is the WR depth chart now?

Re: Temporary WR solution Watson is a potentially fast and dangerous weapon. But he has never panned out to what many prognosticators thought would happen. So that suggests he is unlikely to turn into Dallas Clark in a week. But he could play a bigger role and a productive one at that.

There is no reason to panic

Dale and Holly are suggesting that Aiken wont' be playing either. So that's bad. But I do think Watson can potentially do a lot more than he has done so far this year. And it is true, based on what we heard in the postgame, that the Pats game plan in the second half was about getting Brady...

Poll: How far will Pats make it in playoffs?

I was getting a lot more optimistic prior to the Welker injury, but now I just don't know. . .

Patriots: Game will be Sunday at 1 PM

I thought the networks had some "leverage"?

So what is the WR depth chart now?

Re: Temporary WR Solution Yeah - that's sensible.

So what is the WR depth chart now?

Re: Temporary WR Solution The playoffs are for surviving and moving on, whatever tricks or nonsense you have to pull out. It is true that success is less likely when you have things established than when you have to try new things though. But I wonder if the Pats will work hard at practice...

Dale and Holley brought up a good point too...

Well, that suggests he's beat up. Hopefully not too badly.

So what is the WR depth chart now?

But if Watson ran his mouth, he'd likely get benched. That's not really the "Patriots Way".
