Sorry for all of the contraversy this seemed to have stirred up. I thought I was extremely diplomatic in posting on the subject. To those who were in agreement and supported the point of my post, I certainly appreciate it. To those who didn't and there were many that's fine and I respect the...
I think Kornheiser and Lupica are quite talented sportswriters. When i see them on Sports Reporters or PTI, it kind of dilutes it for me. They should be behind a keyboard and not a camera.
You are correct. I got confused as I now remember him being on ESPN Game Day at a desk by himself. My fault.
I think I confused it because there was one year that he was being considered for the MNF announcing team.
But I also know that about Kornheiser as he was a finalist one year.
Sorry but that is ridiculous to say. They could have been stopped on 4th and 1/2" but they also could have made it. To use the Indy/NE parallel has nothing to do with it. So you lied? This really is a sarcastic thread.
I'm assuming you are counting the Parker 75 yard TD and Randel El pass to Hines Ward as the only point sfor the Steelers.
Let's hypothetically say that there was no holding call on SEA when the ball was on the 2 1/2. Looks like you are goiving the Seahawks a TD from there which is ok. If...
I remember Kornheiser was a finalist for the job when ABC hired Rush Limbaugh.
I am somewhat disappointed to see this line up. I thought Mike Patrick did a fine job and the chemistry between Theisman and Paul McGuire had some decent entertainment value.
Thank you and thank you to mgteich for the supportive posts. To the rest who have posted in this thread, you misconstrued my point. I wasn't asking for you to even like the Steelers. I wasn't suggesting that you have all this newfound respect for the Steelers. I was just asking for...
I just wanted throw my two cents in on something that has been bothering me about this Board for the past two days. In fairness it's on every other Board around the country as well. But I thought you guys (winning three Super Bowls) could at least appreciate a victory regardless of how ugly or...
Thanks and who knows, maybe a Brady-Big Ben rivalry will ensue. It could be just one of the many things needed in the NFL (all this while Manning is still requesting autographs from produce clerks at supermarkets).
As I mentioned in an earlier post last week, I don't believe the Steelers would have made it this far had it not been for the past two home AFCCG beatings at the hands of New England. Especially last year.
For the Steelers to have evolved to where they are today, they needed to go through...
