You are correct, there is nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately like all top level management/Ownership they don’t own there mistakes. They always have a fall guy to take the PR hit. It is what it is and it will remain that Way.

We’ll see. Hopefully, it works out for Mayo. It is easy to look good when someone else is held accountable. I think they should have went with someone outside the organization. Having a succession plan is good when someone is retiring or moving on. Seems like a douche move when someone is fired...

Interesting hire, Mayo has been on the coaching staff during the downward spiral. So I am not sure why he will be a better leader now. As a player, he was a tackling machine but never figured out how to defend a pass.
