I think the concern is more about how old a player is when he breaks out. If Maye or Williams stayed in school another season for their own personal reasons, it would not hurt their stock come the 2025 draft. If anything it would actually help as teams would appreciate the extra experience...
If Nathan Rourke was in this draft, where would he be drafted? I’m guessing mid to late rounds. I like the idea of drafting a second quarterback in theory, but it think we’ll have enough competition at the position with Brisset, the rookie, Rourke, and Zappe.
Ideally, we draft someone who can be the franchise LT. The problem is that those guys usually go early. If they don’t think someone like that is available, I’d like to see them draft a WR at 34. Then maybe a tackle who is a project in round 3 or maybe a TE. We’re going to be awful again next...
I think of Brissett as the rookie’s whipping boy. He’s only here to take a beating while the rookie golden boy is preserved for the future. Then we’ll draft a left tackle early in the first round next year.
I watched a video a couple of months back that showed McCarthy’s third and long plays. As you pointed out he had a very high conversion rate. Even more impressive were the throws he was making. A lot of those passes were into tight windows and thrown before the receiver’s break. They were...
Penix’s throwing motion bothers me. He throws a bit sidearm with a low release point. I would expect his passes to get batted down too often. It doesn’t seem that most people scouting him mention it. I’m wondering if people think it’s a problem or not. I also wonder how difficult it would be...
Daniels is going to play with less talent next year in the NFL than he did last year in college. When he opted out of his bowl game, his backup threw for 395 yards and 3 touchdowns. I find that concerning especially since he wasn’t considered much of a prospect after his first four years of...
I’m more interested in which quarterback McAdoo likes.

Admittedly, it takes a lot of projection, but I like McCarthy and would be excited if we draft him. That said, I wouldn’t put stock in any of the rumors from now until the draft. Team executives lie and journalists make things up.
Here’s an article I read awhile back that explains why Milton does not project as well as Richardson.
