FG Formation - Solder
Did a search for "Solder Field Goal" and didn't see any threads or comments, but did anyone notice Solder splitting out wide in the Divisional game? It was briefly shown and mentioned by Nantz. I think this was for the second quarter field goal to make it a Patriots 10-3...
Great piece by Magary. He did a similar one on EVERY fan base before the season, FWIW.
There's a lot of truth to his gripes. They've won 3 SBs and were two plays away from 5 in the past decade. They've been competitive every year. To the hypersensitive types who are complaining about this...
All is right with the world...great Pats offense for three quarters, but can't beat the pass-rush pressure in the end...no four-man pass rush success and the secondary getting torched with McCourty being the anti-ball hawk. The world has righted itself.
/self-loathing
I have no problem with Faulk over Woodhead.
What was clearly the wrong call is Woodhead instead of Slater at KR. Woodhead's lack of linear speed was visible to the naked eye. He jogged into the holes.
Slater gives you a chance at a home-run; they could've used a momentum, field changing play...
Though some may look at Warren as being a snitch, I love this. Battle lines do need to be drawn.
Think about your own office dynamics. Everyone has worked with a whiner and complainer. You can placate or be helpful and sympathetic for only so long. And if he/she is disruptive, you gotta...
Running on 3rd and 4th sounds fine in hindsight, but Brady dropping back was pretty comforting all game long, right?
And the "70-80" yards to go argument is a bit dishonest. The Pats were on the NE28. Hanson has a career net of 36.2. I'll give you another 4 for the indoor factor, so that's...
Went to the morning (and only public) session today. After stretching, they blasted them with a fire hose on a tarp. Eventually it turned into a slip and slide. At the end, Brady got control of the hose and went nuts on Edelman and Hoyer. Unfortunately, it was at the corner of the fields away...
Re: If Vick lands with the Patriots..
I'm willing to bet my savings that more than 50% of athletes cheat on their wives. Of that, probably 25% have children out of wedlock.
These guys aren't saints.
Sick of all the talk, first off. Wish this was over.
My take:
I voted "okay by me" as the guy served his time. What is prison for if we're going to just blackball guys who serve their time, and serve it with no incidents? If we're not going to give those released a shot to integrate back into...
If the Lions were taking offers for the 1st pick with teams offering x pick in 2011 or x-player and x-pick...isn't that a market? It's the by the book definition of the secondary market.
No, it's a false term just like "assault rifles."
In a hurricane, generators and bottled water prices always spike. Now, isn't that actually a good thing? If you place price ceilings in, a precious resource in this time, is snatched up at a low price by fewer people who are hoarding precious...
