OK, if you think that we can win with Maye at $40M AAV (today's dollars, $50M when he is ready for his 2nd contract).
How many teams in the NFL are currently successful with a $40M QB. You mention the Bills. I don't even think that they are division favorites this year, certainly not next...
WAS is drafting Daniels. That is the only given.
==============================
We could trade with CHI who wants their choice of WR
We could trade with the NYG who want a QB.
We could trade with AZ who we could threaten (no trade and we trade with someone else who will pick a WR)
We could...
venting is fine.
I don't see how this relevant to the thread.
Also, I don't see why this is relevant to how we are progressing towards being compeitive for the playoffs in 2025 and for the division in 2026.
PERHAPS I'M THERE
1) I am NOT convinced that either Maye or McCarthy is at all likely to be a franchise QB. Also, they both seem as likely to bust as Penix or Nix.
2) Daniels is the real deal, a true shot at a franchise QB.
3) I'm fine with Nix or Penix as starting NFL QB's, just not as...
I was looking at one the more popular mock drafts. 8 OT's were gone in the first round, with a couple of more at the top of the 2nd (Paul at 37 and Suamataia at 41) with no more for 10 or so picks.
I really, really want us to draft an OT at 34. However, I don't think even I would pass on...
So it's the same if you are say a banker?
Of course you need to follow the rules of the company you negotiate with and CHOOSE to work for. That is not under any dispute.
The "real" question hasn't changed in a month. Do we draft Maye at 3, knowing his deficiencies (they all have them),
The only change is that McCarthy is another option if we say "no" to drafting Maye.
fair enough
I do believe that 2023 Brown was not even good enough in 2023. Love was our LT. I would have celebrated Brown coming back if the team could have got him to want to play again. But, I do believe that Okorator/Anderson/rookie is better than Love/Brown.
Yes, the IOL may not have...
BEFORE BRADY LEFT
Kraft was very, very low on the scale
DURING THE FOUR YEAR TRANSITION
Kraft was somewhat in the middle, given that these 4 years were clearly critical to the direction of the franchise.
Kraft allowed the hiring of Patricia and Judge to run the Offense. I would think that...
the other explanation is that this is all Draft Week hype
BTW, there is no possible way they should feel sure that McCarthy will be there at 8-11. He isn't getting past 6. Either the Giants would pick him or they would trade the pick for someone who would. That is lowest spot. I expect that...
