Issue is they have to spend to the floor this year and next. adding a high salary, no bonus amortization veteran for the presence alone is not a bad idea. Draft a WR 2nd rd and sit and learn behind keenan allen for a year etc

The only thing I'd say on Penix is he also lit it up at IU with a much worse supporting cast in a tougher conference. Injuries and age are the concern to me

I think it's his best chance of starting. Where else does he have a better shot? Steelers maybe. Falcons prob going younger for a long term solution. Where else does he go as immediate starter, even if only for a year?
