It shouldn't. Both he and Daniels have the potential to be franchise QB's. Both have faults too. But nobody is perfect. Trading down and getting more picks isn't worth getting a lesser QB (McCarthy). Missing out on McCarthy means said picks would likely be used to trade up for an even lesser...

I don't think Minnesota gets the three spot without giving up three first rounders. Two first rounders this year and a second next wouldn't be nearly enough imo. That would be a steal for them.

I can flip this around and ask: how many people actually thought Mahomes would be a top 5 QB of all time when drafted? Were there any articles or analysis indicating he would be a GOAT candidate? If someone said in April 2000 that Tom Brady would be the next Montana, he/she would be laughed out...

If Mayo's intent was to take a jab at Bill, well, he should keep his mouth shut. Bill gave him a chance as a player and coach. Bill won 6 SB titles. He is widely recognized as one of the best coaches in NFL history.

I don't buy this. I'd be stunned if they trade back short of getting the biggest draft steal in NFL history. If Minnesota only wants to give up two first rounders instead of one...cool. All they need to do is add Jefferson to the deal. Otherwise, it should be a no go!!
