Lazar: Belichick’s in-game decision-making is holding the Pats back

BB knows the media, that they are looking for soundbites. He doesn't give you soundbites. It's life. But if you want to know about the intricacies of the punt return game, he's happy to talk on that for 20 min, because he knows most fans don't care enough to listen to that.

Lazar: Belichick’s in-game decision-making is holding the Pats back

Dude, did you watch the game, Mac was trucked and it literally took him almost 2 quarters to recover from that. The dude was staring into space on the sideline after he popped up from that hit.

Lazar: Belichick’s in-game decision-making is holding the Pats back

Has it though? Or has BB been dealing with a lot of change, turnover, rookie QB, new players, and shortened pre-season? I think it's a little ridiculous to start throwing stones 1.25 years into the departure of Brady. Most team languish for decades after their star QB leaves. It looks like...

Lazar: Belichick’s in-game decision-making is holding the Pats back

I'm just sitting here blown people are even considering getting rid of BB. It's like I'm in some weird alternate reality where everyone drank lead as a child

Lazar: Belichick’s in-game decision-making is holding the Pats back

I think a lot of it is multiple factors: 1. Brady leadership is gone, Brady was like a coach for the team. 2. Exodus of coaching talent. BB has had to deal with constant exodus of talent being hired away by other teams. In addition to #3, he's got a lot of new coaching talent and some of his...

Lazar: Belichick’s in-game decision-making is holding the Pats back

Because they are stupid like you. Feelings don't matter, the rules do. If a player catches a ball and runs backwards 20 yards on his own and then gets tackled, where is the ball spotted? At the point of catch or the tackle?

Lazar: Belichick’s in-game decision-making is holding the Pats back

Forward progress only applies when you get hit. You can't catch a ball and fall backwards untouched and get forward progress. Learn the game

Lazar: Belichick’s in-game decision-making is holding the Pats back

There was no challenge that would have reversed a play on the field during the Cowboys game

Content Post Idle thoughts: The "and this is why you DON'T play not to lose" edition

Yeah, probably was being too nice about the running game. It's picked up a bit the last few games, so I was giving them the benefit of the doubt.

A rookie is generating the 4th best completion rate in the league with a completely new offense and a middling run game. The offense will be fine. Get the oline shored up and it's a playoff offense.

if they can start a run with the Jets this weekend, I want to see them play their hearts out for the rest of the season. If they lose 2 of their next 3 games. I'm on board with your idea. On the number one receiver, I don't know. I think Mac will have the Brady like ability to recognize the...

Content Post Idle thoughts: The "and this is why you DON'T play not to lose" edition

I think they already have the makings of a really good offense, just need to shore up the Oline a bit, but even that group is starting to come together. I don't know that they need much more than one or two pieces on offense to be great once Mac has a full year under his belt. Defense on the...

I agree, that's been my main point too. Look at the Boys game, you could tell he was having a lot of trouble deciphering the defensive looks.
