Thanks for bringing up IWooden, whom I didn't know about. Even though Cole Burgess was turning into my Beankie, as someone who's also 5'7" and had a dad in the Navy, Wooden might be my guy. 1.38 or 1.40 10yd split and 44.5" VJ. Top speed not great but good enough where that sick acceleration...
Bringing up Andy Dalton is kinda funny because it's a terrible example for your case, as the Bengals played it correctly in 2011 after a 4-12 record the year before. They had a huge need for QB with Carson Palmer saying he was gonna retire (psyche!). They picked AJ Green at #4 (7 time Pro...
I casually mentioned this in the 2024 QB Draft thread, but in looking back at Mahomes' predraft interviews, I was impressed by his answer to DPatrick's question of where he wants to go. He seemed very genuine about it, too. I enjoyed the rest of the interview as well.
"For me, it's not...
Don't you dare diss King Pritchard like that... Only guy this season to get 23pts and 9 asst in a half...

While playing with Haus(er) money, sure why not? Won't know until you try! Dude got injured shortly* after messing with the HAUS. Couldn't handle the D.
Not sure how much to take the Celts seriously when the starting center is 6'7".
Edit: I'm watching Giannis iso on Pritchard with basically...
I had a brief thought that maybe the new 65 game rule for NBA honors may be a "I'm here so I don't get fined" kind of thing, but a really quick look at the data doesn't support that, although I'm not going through to see if players played at least 20min for 63 games.
It really does seem like for the past few weeks (since the clinch for 1st was a foregone conclusion), they've been treating it like practice, experimenting with different concepts to get it on film. Last two champs finished 2-5 and 6-7 to end the season. That being said, teams with 62 or more...
While I agree with the sentiment, they may be taking a page from the last NBA Champ's playbook. They finished off the season at a lazy 2-5, getting blown out by a bad team, and lost only 4 the entire playoffs.
FYI, Lance and Purdy were not taken in the same draft, and that Milton's had 21 starts total, so not too green and enough to justifiably say that if he hasn't figured it out by now, then he probably won't ever. If TB12 were still QB, I'd be screaming from the rooftops to take this guy, but...
I guess we'll see how lenient they all are à la the "Left Tackle starting early with no false start" phenomenon. The kicking team will definitely push the envelope as much as they can. Guessing it'll have to be blatant, whatever that means [, or depending on where the money is for gambling].
I like this a lot. For once, I want a returner to have a running start and try to catch it running close to full speed, but the risk for something like that is staggering.

This is not new in sports. In baseball we have the fly out with a runner tagging from 3rd base. The Refs (guessing on each sideline) just need to stand at the 45/50.
