While I totally agree with your first point, your second point is suspect. The Pats' D held the Giants to 17 points, if you knew that going into the game, you would have said the Pats blew them out. The D gave up the last drive, true, but given the last drive by the Pats' O, it's a mystery...

Put me in the camp that puts the majority of the blame for the loss on the coaches, but not all of it. The players share some of the blame for not executing (yes I'm talking to you Asante Samuel and O linemen). Peter King in his column today points out that the Pats chipped the Giants D line...

Have you ever officiated one football game in your life? "one can not advance the ball"? "you can't advance a fumble"? Show me where it says this in ANY football rulebook. If they had not called it an illegal bat, they would have given the ball to the Giants at the spot of the recovery...
