As long as he got depth money and not "we're depending on him" money I don't see how anyone could have a problem with this signing.
Edit: In retrospect that's probably not true because for experienced OTs the $$ for both categories are higher than they'd like.
BTW, I recognize that Steuber was a natural RT with all his experience on that side. I suspect that's why they tried him at LT. If he was going to make the team they didn't view him as a likely starter, but as a potential swing backup tackle. That requires having the flexibility to play both...
edit: He didn't come off PUP and start practicing until Christmas week. How does that add up to "plenty of time?" Since he clearly wasn't going to play (the 21 day window to get him in game shape and activate him ran past the last game) how many meaningful reps could he have gotten?
My wife always knew when I'd been to Spag's because I couldn't resist the fried dough truck and the powdered sugar invariably left some evidence.
Edit: As or Wheatley I've always liked converted tight ends because they make for very athletic tackles - a requirement against today's lightning...
I know why they do it, but the Patriots approach to exhibitions - almost random back end of the roster rotations - makes it almost criminal to charge admission. As Bill admits, those that get practice reps (i.e. the first two layers of the depth chart) get the least time preseason game time...
Stupid article. The author says that other teams would trade with the Patriots because they lack a viable backup yet thinks the Patriots should be comfortable with McSorely and Cunningham? All that would do is solve someone else's backup problem while creating one in New England. I'd consider...

I’d say letting your gun permit expire is a mistake. Getting a gun without a permit (where required) is a disregard for the law. Taking that gun loaded on a plane is an epic blunder and multiple felonies. It’s not simply a mistake.
Look up the Whiskey Rebellion, George Washington personally led the troops to put down the first attempt to take up arms against the government. Using your logic he and his fellow founders would have supported the right to armed rebellion.
Think of this logically. The founders had risked...
