Our 5th skill position player is our weakest starter. We know Amendola, Thompkins, Ridley and a TE will start. Whoever that 5th guy is (Dobson, another TE, Vereen?) will be the weak link. Next weakest starter is the safety next to McCourty. Third weakest link is our coverage LB next to Mayo.

Not sure why everybody in this thread has their panties in a bunch. If everybody in the league BB'd it following the NFL would be a lot less fun.

I disagree that 4 CBs is enough. The Patriots' 3rd CB is a starter since we play more 6 man fronts than 7 man fronts (IIRC). That being the case 1 CB is not sufficient to back up 3 starters. Now due to salary cap and available talent the 5th CB is normally a ST only player pretending to play...

Last year we used (2) 300 lb DT's with Nink and Jones at DE. Despite the drop off in size our run D did not take a hit. This year Nink will start again as I don't see who would represent an upgrade. The days of using (3) 300 lb DL are over unless one of those guys can offer significant pass rush...
