For those who bemoaned the Pats losing Todd Sauerbrun before the start of last season, check this out:

Former Denver Broncos punter Todd Sauerbrun pleaded guilty Wednesday to disturbing the peace in a confrontation with a taxi driver last December and was sentenced to perform 24 hours of community service.
But outside the courtroom, Sauerbrun insisted he is innocent and said he accepted a plea deal with prosecutors only because his record could be cleansed after a year.
He also took a swipe at the Broncos for cutting him after his arrest, saying, "I don't think they did me right."

What a doorknob. He couldn't WAIT to get back to his cherished Broncos. Now it is their fault he got arrested.

The Patriots wanted this guy back - if not for a defect in his contract he would have been signed with us. Apparently we were lucky.

The pats new he was nuts when they were trying to retain him....he is just a punter not gonna bring down the house.

He filed a greivance against the Patriots to get back to Denver. Funny, not only would he probably would have won the starting punter spot here, he probably wouldn't have been arrested or subsequently cut by staying here.

Good thing for us that the punter was less significant to Patriots than the waterboys for most of the year. The waterboys actually spent more time on the field.

Off topic for the "off topic":

Funny how guys like Sauerbrun and Graham want to go to the Broncos and a guy like Javon Walker couldn't wait to get the heck out of there. I can understand that Graham wants to be close to home and play for his favorite team, but I think something is seriously wrong in that locker room.

Staying true to the "off topic", this has nothing to do with what Sauerbrun did or said, but I have heard some rumors from people close to Javon that paint a negative picture of both Denver and the Broncos. Guess it doesn't help that he was in the car with Darent Williams when he was shot and killed.

Sauerbrun becomes Sourgrapes

Given that this is the franchise that gives its players lie detector tests, why on earth would anyone just assume that Sauerbrun doesn't have a valid point here?

Graham is also unhappy because he was used as a blocking tight

end. Tough toodles to both of them for leaving the Pats.

A guy who is looking to land on a team ought to be smart enough not to publicly blast his former team until AFTER someone hires him.

Now Sauerbrun can do drugs without having to take a test

What a shame because Dan was a real good blocking TE.
I guess all tight ends just want to be receivers.
Screw it. With our receiving corp we could just line up a third tackle.

Apparently so, but we still need a punter. Maybe Player or Dragosavich can - I hope - impress BB during TC, because Hanson didn't impress me during last season.

Unless there are multiple injuries to punters this year, Sourpuss might have already played his last game in the NFL. It may not have made a difference in the end, but I still wish that he had coffin-cornered his last punt in the AFCC; instead, he kicks the ball straight down the middle of the field and into the end zone for a TB. That one probably didn't help his relationship with BB.

Anytime he speaks about the Pats he seems a tad bitter, that's for sure.
I was PISSED BEYOND BELIEF when the Pats signed Sauerbrun. I hated that turd already. I miss Josh Miller

Or Neal. I would think that a really good pulling guard like Neal would also make a good blocking TE.

In fact, weren't the Pats experimenting with O Callahan to do this?
It's a good idea, I think.
