I think Moss handled this really, really well. Very good handling of the press, amiable, got them laughing, emotional, convincing overall. Excellent.

But also, watch the tape with this in mind. One of the first thing a cop will look for when questioning someone is "Hands touching their face, throat & mouth. Touching or scratching the nose or behind their ear. Not likely to touch his chest/heart with an open hand." He does the 'liars nose scratch' a couple of times. Could be because he was nervous, as it happens under general duress, not just the duress of lying.

OK, so here's a little more from Randy from the Herald. Must be some of the one on one comments with Guregian before they were interrupted by the rest of the media.

So it sounds like Randy was definitely involved with whatever happened that caused this "accident":

“I know what took place. I know what happened,” Moss said in response to a restraining order Washington took out against him on Monday. “What it was, it was a slight injury. All I can say is, it was a slight injury, and as a man, I was sorry. I was sincere.

But it was not abuse like this lady is alleging, but something else:

“I didn’t do nothing wrong,” Moss insisted. “She’s (Washington) a friend of mine. We had no relationship. It was just a friendly gathering. The young lady got hurt, she really did. It was nothing serious. But when you all find out what it is, everybody’s going to laugh.”

Laugh?? What the heck happened? Did Moss drop a banana peel on the floor and she slipped on it? They were all playing twister and she fell awkwardly? And 'gathering' makes it sound like it wasn't just the two of them, alone. So there must be some witnesses, unless he meant 'gathering' as 'get together' or something.

Well, the way I see it... It's going to be a "he said" "she said" situation, given that the alleged "attack" on the woman occurred on Jan 6 (if I got this right)..

There was a "gathering" but this incident could have taken place without anyone really observing what was going on... Who really knows ?

I think the important thing is that Randy has come out and spoken to the press, denying all involvement. He strikes me as a smart, intelligent man and I doubt he would put everything on the line to go and deny something if he was really guilty...

For the moment, he has given his version of the truth and I'm inclined to believe his statement until hard facts, witnesses, etc. prove otherwise...

The timing is suspect and time will tell who is really at fault here..
