I think, unequivocally, Scrap Iron would be shortened to ScIron, then eventuall Scion. Do you really want LM being called Scion? Didn't think so.

It actually was born not invented. My son and I started calling him that because KoolAid seemed poor. One game we just started yelling SCRAP IRON when he got the ball,.
