Randy Responds

you missed my point. he did well enough to convince me into giving him the benefit of the doubt, but i don't count since i'm a pats and moss fan (i argued out here to to try to get him for 2006!), but it's just fuel for the fire for those who will prejudge the case.

Seriously, is anyone worried about Randy being disrespected ?? Oh ya, that'll distract and slow him down. What, maybe enough for 3-4 TD's ???

Who cares, this is just more fodder or as I like to say " Tacklin Fuel "

They'll never learn ;-) For crying out loud, even Baby LT learned !!

I'm listening to WEEI and its Randy taking questions. Apparently he has know the woman for 11 years.

So did he talk about her claim ???

Exactly. A Motivated Randy is an Unstoppable Randy.

Could you give us a summary of what he's saying? Thanks.

good points. though, she can file a police report at any time, arguing that she was intimidated into not doing so. you also make a very good point that no one knows what transpired between the two of them. was it blackmail or did randy offer to give her a few bucks to keep quiet about an inflated non-instance and then change his mind on advice of counsel?

I get the feeling that Randy was messing around, and now the other woman wants him. Well, this isn't the way to do it.

I sure hope this doesn't affect his family life. On the football side of things, hopefully this really pisses him off and he takes it out on the Chargers.

I agree, he pulled a Belichick. Here's my statement have a nice day ! We're playing the Chargers next week, got any questions about the Chargers ?

He should just download an audio of Belichick, " We're moving on, we're playing the Chargers and they're a good football team, we're moving on "

first of all, i totally support randy in this (i was one of the few who wanted to bring him here in 2006, not 2007).

However, i disagree with you. in that single interview Moss said a hundred times more than belichick said in the entire spygate episode, from september to today. belichick realized that anything he said would get twisted or questioned by the media so other than saying "sorry" he kept his mouth shut. moss this morning made a lot of statements that are open to clarification and questioning. he should have read or issued a statement like this: "As you are aware, a woman in florida has made serious allegations about my behavior and actions. Let me assure you that these allegations are false and I am certain that this will be established to everyone's satisfaction in a timely manner. In the meantime, I am not going to have any further comments on this matter. My focus is 100% on working with my teammates to get ready for a tough game on Sunday." That's a lot less than he said.

True or not this sucks.

I figured it out, Belichick is behind this. Randy wasn't able to break away from the coverage against the ***uars and Bill's trying to motivate him, see Bill knows it's just a matter of time before someone on the Chargers calls Randy a "Classless Women Beater"

Just heard the tape of the interview... Moss doesn't deny an "accident" nor that he has known the woman for a long time - but obviously denies an abuse situation

What he says all has the air of truth - that something happened but he can't say what - and that she demanded a six figure payment.

The timing of course is very suspicious and that makes it sound plausible that this is a shake down as well - though the courts will always defer to a woman and grant a restraining order... that means nothing.

He's done the best he can to be upfront so he can put it behind him - I don't expect this will have an impact on the game.

If I remember, when he was charged with the traffic cop incident, the next game he played, he had a terrible game.

Thanks JoeSixPat...

What is this accident that he keeps mentioning??? Can't he say what it was?

Assuming the part of wanting money is true;
Then I think this entire issue is a non issue

If the woman was really hurt by moss, she'd go to the police; either immediately (if she was in real danger) or within a day (if it was not an immediate danger).

Sometimes the accused (whether their innocent or not) will pay the accuser money to drop the charges.

But when the accuser asks for money before the chargers are even filed, then something is fishy

WEEI is playing his Q & A with the reporters now. Says he's known her for 11 years, she was a friend, she lives in her own house and has her own vehicle so how could he have denied her medical attention, says she wanted "six figures" for an accident of some sort. Mad at the situation, not her. Sorry if she's hard up for money, did characterize it as extortion, wouldn't detail what the "accident" was, was rather emotional about how everything was so positive this season including what may yet come to be, why would I do something to upset that, seemed to be trying to say this wasn't a case of hanging with the wrong people on an off weekend - this was someone he'd known for years and he never imagined she would accuse him of something like this.

Was there a police report filed? Is that available? I hate these types of cases in general. I know someone who was arrested simply because his wife (was divorcing) said something pretty outrageous. Charges were eventually dropped as she admitted in court she made it all up. I would like to know some facts one way or another before condemning him or not.

Either way the timing is unfortunate for the team and the game.

For Randy Moss !!!, that's his best Belichick ! Best thing about this, he can ignore the reporters, Bill couldn't.

Also, this isn't a big deal, the people claiming this is serious are wasting their energy ! That's ok, it's entertaining !

Yes, but he was guilty of that. I meant Randy seems to feed of the haters, who will be out in full force. If he is indeed innocent (which at this point only he & she know), I could see him feeding off all the negativity in the press questioning his character and having a huge day.

If you want to talk about this, start a topic. Stop trying to hijack this thread.

Who are you, a f'n librarian? I was showing the hypocrisy of a Colt troll acting holier than thou toward the Moss situation.

I'm at work in Pittsburgh, I'm a little out of range and I can't stream it at work. This is the web you know, some people here are from other countries nevermind other states. Most are working and most companies with a decent IT staff block streaming. Just in case you didn't realize that ;-)
