If I found out someone filed a restraining order and then is charging me with battery (and a court date is set) I think that qualifies as having trouble with the law. I never said he was guilty, just posting the story. I have always given people the benefit of the doubt, especially pats. Sorry if I offended some over-sensitive people!

I agree with you ... this is news based on the coverage it is getting in the area...hopefully this will be found as false acquisitions and the big story will be if and how this reporter will be suspended for false charges

You don't even know if this is factual yet....none of do. If it was factual, you'd have heard it on the news. This board should be the LAST place to start & spread rumors about our players. Shame on you.

Can you elaborate? Within the same district, for example? Are you privy to search the database? Any prior submissions that might include the same two parties?

How can we "protect" Moss? There are two possibilities. One, its the wrong Moss. So we had a discussion on here about a media error. Two, its the right Moss. Then the discussion is totally valid. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean we can't, or shouldn't discuss it.

Even though we know NOTHING about the 2 pages you refer to...do ANY of these cases involve our R Moss? what are they? have they been resolved? Be careful about the comments you make on this board, it is your RESPONSIBILITY to protect our players until they are convicted....not add to the various rumors.

How can the FACTS be "irresponsible garbage"? If you looked, it was obvious that they were not all the same Moss. That was my point, that this could easily be the wrong Moss.

Try taking responsibility for your posts, and stop worrying about others. Sheesh.

As much as I hate the story you can't blame the reporter, an affidavit was filed, whether or not the woman filing it was telling the truth will come out but you can't blame a reporter for running with it.

1) Whether or not he is "one of our best players" means nothing. He is a human being. If he were Lonnie Paxton or the Equipment Manager, he should get as much benefit of the doubt concerning an unsubstantiated report. Football prowess doesn't make anyone less or more innocent.

2) I believe the point the poster was making about "2 pages of Randy Moss" is that it is a rather common name (Igor Olshansky has no such problems) and that there may be tens and tens of Randy Mosses in Florida.

I believe he was referring to the Broward County website. I also believe he was indicating Randy Moss is not an uncommon name.

It is what it is. We have a game to get ready for and that's what's important right now. None of us know what's really going on, and I'm not going to jump to conclusions over a vague report. For all we know they had an arguement that got out of hand and she decided to press charges. Trust me, I'm a woman I see that stuff happen all the time. My brother's ex girlfriend did that to him and he never even touched her.
So let's leave this alone and let Randy and his Lawyer deal with it.

Let's just assume this story is false. Here we are building lengthy threads discussing it and thereby making the story/rumor even bigger. Patsfans.com has a history of stories that make the news and we are often quoted.

Now assume it becomes a national "Rumor" for a day or 2 and then is proven to be false. That won't stop the media from surrounding Moss to ask questions and thus creating a distraction to the team before a huge game.

But NO, we don't care about that. "WE WANT TO KNOW & WE DON'T CARE HOW IT AFFECTS THE PATRIOTS"....this is what you're saying by posting and building this non-story into something it may not be.

I locked the original thread because some depraved posters were posting the phone numbers of some of the people involved and were calling them at 1:00am. Patchick and I went back into that thread and eliminated any mention of phone numbers,etc. Then I locked it until this morning if any new developments occurred.

Being that Franco has now been on WEEI in Boston sticking to her story, this is a new development. It may be a development that ensures that she loses every last one of her cubic zirconium jewelry set to a Randy Moss lawsuit, but it is a public development.

Did you even read my original post? If not here it is:

WEEI was just reporting that Moss had been accused of battery by a woman that said she was dating him. She said he battered her and then would not let her get medical attention. It is being reported out of Orlando, Florida. I will look for some links, but let's hope it's not true!

I just posted what I heard on WEEI, I think WEEI counts as news. I am not spreading rumors, just reporting what I have heard. I understand what you mean, I am giving Moss the benefit of the doubt....but ignoring this completely isn't going to help anyone.
