ANNOUNCEMENT Thread Mute Function Added

Just following up to provide some visuals on these, which will be added into the other tutorials:

The Mute Button is located as shown below and again, it's thread specific so if someone is muted, it's just for the duration of that one thread:

That post and any other posts on that page associated with the user will then close. After you refresh - or go to another page - you'll see this icon at the top:

When you click on that, it will show you who you're muting in that thread, and then, if you want to, you can click "unmute" to add them back in:

Still working on quoted posts, which for whatever reason are a bit more elusive. But I'll post an update here once that's been added.
That's a shockingly simple-to-use implementation of the feature, kudos to you. I hope folks use it. I have a feeling we will be strongly encouraging people to use it when threads get derailed.

Thanks, and I agree, the idea was just to give people a simple way to tune out certain users in a thread where someone may have a strong feeling they don't agree with without having to go as far as having to do a full ignore. It's not perfect, but it came out a little better than I thought it was going to. However, I'll continue tweaking it as there are still some small bugs I need to fix. But overall, hopefully, it helps make things a little better for everyone.

Different issue, but when I respond to a post and hit reply, I then go through the thread and see another post I want to respond to and hit reply again. I try to add the second reply into the first post (using the edit button) but I can't...is there any way that two or more consecutive replies can automatically get merged into one post? Otherwise, it's annoying to see multiple replies by the same poster all in a row....

Yes, that's what this button is for:

Hit that on every post you want to reply to, and then hit this button:

That will insert them all in and then you can post your replies underneath each one all in one post

If you're trying to do the same thing on an existing post, the above still works, but you'll have to do it in the lower window, and then copy/paste it into the post you're editing that you want to add to.

Do the "muted" know they have been muted?

What about a public scorecard that tracks those who have been "muted" most frequently so we can

This is what I was trying to figure out. Thanks!

I'm to emotionally fragile to know who has me ignored or muted

Was there going to be a feature where you could block someone responding to you?
