Brian Flores

If Miami fires Flores, as the Miami fans are demanding, would you want him back as the DC?

Yes…but it’s not his fault that their dumb owner forced them to take Tua over Herbert.
Do you think his reputation (as an HC) has been tarnished to the point that no other team would want him for the top spot?

Teams tend to not hire recently fired coaches to be their HC unless it's a guy with a substantial head coaching resume.

I feel like sitting behind BB again isn't the greatest career move for Flores. He has a better path to another HC job if he's the DC for an offensive head coach, making it clear that he's the top defensive voice on the team.

Dare I say it...if McDaniels doesn't see the HC job in NE opening up any time soon then he could go elsewhere and hire Flores as his DC.

Yes Flores is at the Todd Bowles time of his career.

McDaniels - Jax with Flores DC would be interesting, but Mc has a serious crush on Mac.

The power of hindsight is real.

Sure, but scouts/GMs are paid to make those decisions.

Nah. If he gets fired mid-season, he’ll be available to sign with NE as a consultant type role. Doubt BB would take away play calling duties from Steve.

I would bring back Flores in a heartbeat, remember that he can’t come back u til after the season is over, they changed that rule after the Pats did that with McDaniels.

he is a good coach, and the Pats would get a couple of draft picks if he comes back for a season and then takes another HC job.

Doubt he gets canned this year but I would definitely take Flores back as long as he didn't burn his bridge with Bill after taking some assistants with him.

Thing about Flores that has been disappointing this year is the Defense is #31 in points allowed (29.6 ppg). They could've won that game if the D stops Ryan in the last drive.

Unless it's Stephen Ross who is famous for firing coaches before they can get their system in place with the players they want.

Flores will find a job in no time.

He already tried to do that, but something made him stay. Remember he backed out of the Colts job at the last minute in '19, then said "the book is closed on me leaving the Patriots."

So there is obviously a succession plan in place.
