Just a quick note I'm working on adding threads on the site changes/additions over in the "What's New" forum:

I've added a couple of threads and I'll continue adding a few others throughout the day, so that's where they'll be. They'll also appear in the rotating discussion bar at the top as well.

Quick bump on this. GIPHY support is now active. I had to wait for the API to get approved and just got the email so this is now up and running. Information is in the "What's New" forum (link below) as far as how it works, etc. Still have a couple of other things pending that I'm working on, so I'll also add a thread on those once they're up. Hopefully I'll have some time tonight.

Is the search feature going to work how it used to? I loved the old search.

Yes, the site search and basic thread search works when you hit the top right icon.

For the advanced search, open the menu by hitting the top left button and go to “Forums” -> “Thread Search” :)

sweet!

Ian,

Where is this rotating bar , I keep trying to place an order for a couple of beers and some peanuts and dont get an answer :)

I've been noticing the last couple days the alert icon saying there's an "alert" and then it disappears.

Ian, I have to say those label prefixes before some of these threads are amazing...

Yeah, I noticed that also. Now you have to either click the link of the post/thread in the alert or mark it unread (little blue dot on the right when you hover on it). That’s something people apparently complained about because as soon as you hit the Alerts, the drop down cleared and after a refresh, you couldn’t see what you had missed without going to the alerts page. So they added that.

You can also now mark an alert “unread” doing the same thing and clicking the dot.

That mobile keyboard bug seems to have disappeared. Not sure if that was you or an update on this end.

Either way, keep up the good work!

@Ian - at the bottom of an individual thread page, there is a section called "Similar Threads". It's a great idea, but I've noticed it pulling threads from 15 years ago.. Not sure if that is something that can be finessed, but I don't think the point of the section is to rehash 15 year old threads that may "algorithmically" look similar to what is being talked about..

For instance, when I bring up the following:

All the similar threads showing are from 2005 or 2006.. Including a thread asking what value Rickey Williams has..
