Is he ok? That looked bad.

Can Hoyer play a little tight end?

It seems to me that if this type of hit takes place the player who hit him should not be allowed to play until the player who was hit returns to the field.. INOW Church should have been immediately removed from this game and not allowed to play until Gronk is able to play once again.. 15 yards means **** when your best player is taken out.

Think Flowers went down late in the game. that would worry me.

I really don’t understand threads like this.

A. The Pats give out as little medical info as any team in the league.

B. He has a concussion but was able to walk off the field on his own. It’s not a Shazier situation. What else is there to know at this point?

C. The next game is in two weeks. I’m sure we’ll hear another update by mid week, at least through practice reports.

PS. Flowers seemed to injure his ankle but got it taped up and went back in. Great performance by him.

Our medical staff really handles the injury situations of players. Players don't come to me and I don’t treat them for injuries, I'm not a doctor.

He's entered the concussion protocol and when the doctors clear him, we'll evaluate his condition. Call it day to day.

Gronk will be out there. 2 weeks. They must have gotten some indication from the Dr's that Gronk's concussion isnt that bad as the hit looked

That’s ridiculous.

Dorsett takes one of those hits from Malcolm Jenkins and maybeeee he has a bad concussion and can’t return.

I think it's clear that Garoppolo could have taken that hit and stayed in the game. Bill got rid of the wrong guy.

Brissett was our best guy all along. Maybe we’d have a chance in the SB with him.

How will they distinguish concussion loopiness from Gronk loopiness?
Question: How many strippers am I holding up?
Answer: Strippers? Where's my wallet?

Q: gronk, what’s 1 + 1?
A: 2

Medical team: he’s doing math now. This is serious.

That’s ridiculous.

Why is that ridiculous?? Make the penalty fit the infraction, particularly in terms of concussion issues...

15 yard penalty for an offense such as this is absurd and meaningless, if the NFL is serious about doing something about concussions this would be a good first step..

Because a lot of the time, the helmet to helmet contact is purely incidental and is a product of the defender having to do their job. There was nothing intentional about Church's hit yesterday. Removing him or other defenders from the game for simply doing their job is ridiculous. You're essentially trying to implement some form of the college targeting rule which has pretty much been a failure in every way you could possibly measure that rule.
