I didn't see a binkie thread, so I decided to start one.

I have 2 that will definitely go in the 1st round, but they are 2 of my favorites. I love WR Corey Davis from Western Michigan. I just think he's gonna be a big star in the NFL, and prior to the Cooks trade, I was hoping to somehow wind up with Davis, or my other 1st round binkie, Christian McCaffrey. Would LOVE to have McCaffrey in this offense.

Here are my other binkies that'll go in the later rounds, listed in no particular order:

Jalen Williams WR Umass
Hunter Renfrow WR Clemson
Chad Hanson WR Cal
Josh Reynolds WR Texas A&M
Lorenzo Jerome S St Francis
Zay Jones WR East Carolina
Tanoh Kpassagnon DE Villanova (LOVE this guy !)
Cooper Kupp WR Eastern Washington
Kareem Hunt RB Toledo
Deangelo Brown DT Louisville
Hardy Nickerson JR LB Illinois
Davis Webb QB Cal ( there's just something about this guy, he just seems to have IT, great humble personality, but also a hungry guy who loves winning. IF we trade JG, would love to draft this guy)
Austin Carr WR Northwestern (Big fan of this guy, walk on who became a stud)
Tanner Gentry WR Wyoming (Similar to Carr).

Lots of receivers, but I can see a lot of these guys being available and Belichick taking a chance on one or two of them in the later rounds or as an UDFA.

Didn't list any TEs because most of them are well known entities, very deep class.

Who are your binkies for the 2017 NFL draft ?

Oh boy. Too many to count. I've thought about making a "my guys" thread at some point, but it will have to be two sections: Patriots-type players, and then players I like regardless of scheme fit. I'll try to circle back around to this tonight when I have more free time and give a real answer.

Solomon Thomas
Christian McCaffrey
Jarrad Davis
Desmond King
Tarell Basham
Adam Shaheen
Tim Williams
Wayne Gallman
Ryan Switzer

I only know projected 1st & 2nd rounders... but my favorites are:
Corey Davis
Haasan Reddick
Obi Melifonwu

especially Corey Davis

Some good choices guys. I agree with Switzer and Melifonwu, two guys I like as well.

I have two.
Anderson and
McDermott

I'd like to see Aaron Jones, the RB out of UTEP, as a Pat.

Evan engram, solomon thomas and hasson reddick. Im also starting to warm up to jamal adams.

There are players I like, but haven't found many that fall into binky status.. like @jboston19 , Aaron Jones is one, Tarrell Basham, McCaffrey is another and Mack Hollins is a fourth. But I haven't really found my Grady Jarrett, DeAndre Smelter, Jimmie Ward or Ziggy Ansah - that guy I desperately want on my team. Maybe it's because there are so many good players in this draft that my interest in players is divided amongst many rather than concentrated in a few. Or maybe, because I came to this process late this year, I haven't been able to jump on someone early and develop a loyalty to them like I usually do with my binkies of previous years.

Edit: Forgot Budda Baker. Definitely add him to the list.

Lorenzo Jerome ...

I'd never heard of the guy until I saw a note in a practice write-up for the Senior Bowl and then his game performance. Didn't think about him again until I was watching the drills at the Combine.

Almost zero wasted motion in his CoD in most of the drills was really impressive- very disciplined footwork, I thought. He also didn't appear to try to "jump the signal" the way some of the other guys did.

OTOH, because of the crappy camera angles, it was really difficult to judge how fast any of the prospects were performing a drill, especially wrt how they accelerated out of their final change. But I did get the sense that Jerome and a couple others were slow-playing it to stay under control. And then, after looking at his testing numbers, I began to wonder if that wasn't top speed for him.

Still, as evident from his Senior Bowl performance, his diagnostics/instincts seem to get him where he needs to be in time, which might be enough to compensate. Malcom Butler had relatively poor measureables, but he seems to have done okay via his instincts and anticipation.

WR Mack hollins
then
TE Adam Shaheen and George Kittle
CB Brendan Langley
DT Larry Ogunjobi
LB Tashawn Bower

S Weston Steelhammer just because awesome name.

Evan Engram- Best tight end in the draft in my opinion. Could be there at 32. If he can add another 10 pounds without losing the speed he can be unstoppable.

Gareon Conley- very underrated for Ohio state. Has all the physical tools.

Carlos Watkins- I think he has upside and was productive in clemson. Had a good pro
day.

T. J Watt- I don't know why but he reminds me of clay matthews Jr. He has good football genes.

Josh Reynolds- I feel he will be a steal in the later rounds. Played well in the senior bowl.

Or maybe its partly because there are so many good (and young) players already on 2017 Pats that the element of need is somewhat missing . since BB moved his “draft“ to FA this year..

Very nice list,

My question is ...Is engram a tight end? Or is he Vincent Jackson 2.0.

He can a large fast wr, that eats up lb and safety coverage. A true match up nightmare. Bb loves these type guys.

He can not block a lick and shows no desire in that department.

He's Aaron Hernandez/Jordan Reed.

And you couldn't be more wrong about his blocking. Classic stalk blocker. Actually better inline vs space. Plenty of clips and games to back it up like FSU, A&M and years of tape.

He has work to do but hes a good blocker.

Been my binky for 2 years
